Kiss Forced to Cut Set Short at London Show

Band Photo: Kiss (?)
Kerang reports that Kiss was forced to cut their set short at an intimate gig at London's Islington Academy earlier this week. The band, who had not played a venue in the UK that small in nearly 24 years, was left breathless after confetti cannons went off during the initial set closer, "Rock And Roll All Nite." According to reports, the stage was flooded with excessive amounts of carbon dioxide and bassist / vocalist Gene Simmons nearly collapsed. Vocalist / guitarist Paul Stanley also found it difficult to breathe and said he didn’t know if he could make it back on stage for an encore.
After a short delay, the band returned to perform their 1976 hit, "Detroit Rock City," but unbeknown to fans in attendance at the 800 capacity venue, Kiss were forced to axe classic tracks such as "Deuce," "Shout It Out Loud" and "Lick It Up" from their set. The setlist from last night’s gig was as follows:
Modern Day Delilah
Cold Gin
Let Me Go Rock And Roll
Say Yeah
Calling Dr. Love
Got To Choose
I Love It Loud
100,000 Years
Love Gun
Black Diamond
Rock And Roll All Nite
Detroit Rock City
