Don't like that fact that all the opening bands are pure deathcore, feel like JFAC should let go of the scene if they want to be a respected death metal. they're music has definitly evolved why cant they?

I agree completely. Genesis was listenable and had a very good death metal vibe to it. Then with Ruination they just fell back to problem 1.

Idiot, Cattle Decapitation and Revocation are NOT deathcore. Hell, I even just checked out Gaza's Myspace page and neither are they.

I'm not too big on Cattle Decapitation, but it's just wrong that they are having to play before trash like Whitechapel.

imo Ruination was a killer album and a significant progression for Job for a Cowboy
i would like to see them live
Cattle Decapitation and Gaza are both decent and worth checking out
whitechapel deserve your attention also
none of these bands have much of a commercial sound
if these bands were from europe most of the elitist snobs who dismiss them would drop their panties

Seriously though, calling Cattle Decapitation or Revocation deathcore is about as accurate as saying the Dallas Cowboys are a hockey team.

Facepalm. Cattle Decapitation pretty much has "Gore not Core" as a motto these days.
