self titled - couple great songs, pretty good overall
Fury - definately their best and one of my all time favorites
Last kind words - 2nd best, clouds over california is my favorite song by them
Prey for villains - not a big fan, couple songs are alright nothing amazing though

I love all their albums so it's hard. My favorite is probably Fury as far as consistency, but as far as musicianship and overall songwriting that Last Kind Words would be their best album. Least favorite could be self titled because of the simplicity or Pray For Villains because the last 2 or 3 songs on the album don't really do anything for me. Still, all their albums are f***in' badass and I hope they're around for a long time. STAY METAL MY FRIENDS!

fury is easy best, self titled is simple but good to get you into the band..last kind words is best technique wise and probably second best overal..villains has some ok songs but it sounds a bit more commercial, he tends to overdrum on bits that should be simpler and the riffs are fairly boring. still a good album though just not up to their standards hopefully the next one is as intense as the second and third albums.

Musically I think fury is their best album. Lyrically I think pray for villians is their best. Overall I think the fury of our makers hand is their best album. I think their first album is very underrated and the last kind words was good also but probably my least favorite among the bunch. Thats not saying much cause every one of their albums has been sick. They have yet to make a crappy record.

Okay, here we go. I'll say that DevilDriver is so mediocre, that they make Coal Chamber sound interesting. Ha ha! Just kidding! Coal Chamber could NEVER be interesting. Honestly, Dez still sings like the Cookie Monster, and it's all the "Hey, our drummer's sweet, so everyone else can just play whatever." thing. Oh, wait. They said they wanted the input of their "fans", so my bad. I'm definitely NOT a fan. God forbid somebody who isn't a fan gives their opinion. Oh, that reminds me. God Forbid rocks.

the s/t was good, but a bit off on the groove, with it's moments like "i could care less" of course. the fury rlly captured the DD sound after the guitarist from the s/t (who wrote most of THAT stuff) left and it was just awesome from beginning ("end of the line" \m/) to end, but last kind words was just amazing imo. with songs like "clouds over california" and my fav "head on to heartache", it's by far, the best album (topping the fury). pray for villains was just another DD album, good, but just not great (yet still better than the s/t). something that i just have to add is that DD's choices for singles and songs that they decide to do music vids of, kinda suck. they always have WAY better songs on each album than the singles. and i'm sure everyone here would agree with me, that listening to a certain album when it comes out after hearing the single or seeing the music vid, u think to yourself on whatever song it may be, "wow, this song shouldda been the single not (insert current single at the time here)". well i love DD nonetheless and i can't f***in' wait to go see them in 2 weeks!!! DD \m/

Fury is their best, it just has such a good groove. The drummer really does make the band what it is, and I can't say that about any other band. The last couple efforts have been pretty good also, but the self-titled debut was amateurish and really complete sh**.

Self-titled(underrated, but def heavy) I Could Care Less
The Fury Of Our Maker's Hand(2nd best, just barely behing LKW) Hangman's Noose or End of the Line
The Last Kind Words(best album) Not All Who Wander or Burning Sermon
Pray For Villains(most commercial, still heavy, and great melody at the end of Fate Stepped In) Forgiveness Is a Sixx Gun

I already left my opinion at No. 5. This is a response to n0thinghead. While I usually agree with your comments, I must definitely disagree DD making poor choices for singles and videos. End of the Line is arguably my favorite song by them, yes the video is cliched but still intense. I would've liked it if they made Before the Hangman's Noose into a video, but at least they play it at just about every show so I'm happy. Not All Who Wander is I think the best song on LKW. I love the title track to Pray For Villains and the video is badass. That's my opinion on the subject. STAY METAL MY FRIENDS!

METAL213 : i completely understand where ur coming from man. but i'm NOT saying that their single suck, at all, i'm just saying that on each album, at least i personally, can identify a couple of songs better to have been singles. but like i said, i see where ur coming from man. stay metal urself my friend \m/
np : lostprophets - "dstryr/dstryr" (from the NEW album, they betrayed. something NOT-so-metal, i know, but idc, i love lostprophets)

For me, PFV, took me a week to get into it. Really different material. Boecklin mastered them fills and the double kick which on some songs comes from nowhere. Dezs vocals were awesome, slowed down and clearer but staunch as f***. Lyrics kick ass. Way different to any other album. Miller has some pretty special stuff on there and Kendrick and sprietzer plain shred.
2nd,fury.this quicksh** s brutal. Find a common ground between PFV and Fury.
The last kind words is a great album, different throughout. The commercial clouds to the one of a kind monsters. Head on to hearaches this albums back with vengeance.
First albums a good first album with I could care less hinting at what was to become.
I'm a DD fan to the core. I can't wait to listen to what's next. Sack ya soundman and come back to Perth, Western Australia

The Last Kind Words is probably the best album of theirs. Clouds Over California is just one of the best songs I've heard in the past few years. Keep it up.
