Def Leppard To Receive Their Own Cartoon Series

The members of Def Leppard are to become cartoon characters. It has been revealed that the band is working on a cartoon series, which will see them involved in various escapades. The British metalers have signed a deal with music publishing company Primary Wave, which is also developing video games and phone applications for the band.

The animation project is still in the early stages and has not been pitched to TV networks yet.

Really? I wonder what their pitch lines are gonna be for this. Adventures of old men in a huge band partying and trying to get laid followed by a sponsorship from viagra.
-Joe: Hey, Phil you should have seen this groupie I took to the bus.
-Phil: Oh yeah? How was it?
-Joe: Like playing pool with a piece of rope.
Either way if they have new material come up from time to time to hear, im down.

They re going to mimic the old scooby doo cartoons plot wise...you know when they got stranded on an island with the harlem globetrotters, or when looking for gold with the 3 stooges, or other run in s with celebs....basically like that...
I think giving ozzy osbourne or lemmy their own cartoon would have been more comical

missed that last line first time, no way i see this getting picked up i mean who is the target audience for this? i dont see the average person wanting to watch this i mean how many def lep fans are out there that watch cartoons and think it would be a good idea to mix em in to one.

I actually used to like Def Leppard. I thought Hysteria was brilliant musically and sonically.
But... that was back in 1987, and they haven´t made a solid good album since.
Instead of smiling with them, Def Leppard has chosen to be laughed at. Oh well, life´s full of choices..

Jamez/Wolf: People have been laughing at them since the 90's, so why not make a cartoon out of it right?

BG1, you know, one of the things I´ve always liked about you is your ability to see to the heart of things. Once again, you´re absolutely right :)

Well whether they suck or not they were the sh!t back in the day,..high and dry was a good lp, very cool guys, rick allen the 1 armed drummer whos better than alot of drummers with 2 arms and probably in the top 5 all time of 80s rock bands.....however today, joe s voice is shot, saw the download performance and he wasnt even close vocally like he use to be, none the less a good band then and very cool guys all around

The sentimental (an emphasis on MENTAL) kid in me likes Pyromania, but that's about as far as I can go. A DL cartoon? Ugh. What's that gonna be like? The adventures of the group looking for One Stick Rick's missing appendage?! Maybe I'm just being mean, but these f*cks actually hired fashion consultants to tweek their looks/image at the release of the last "album" to make them more acceptable to the yournger generation. Could you imagine Lemmy stooping to that? HELL no. Why can't these f*ckers quietly and politely retirely peacefully? By the way, "Pour Some Sugar On Me" is the mostn annoying song OF ALL F*CKING TIME!!!!!! F*ck Tard Leppard!!!!!
