The organisers of Germany's Wacken Open Air festival has announced that British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have been confirmed as one of the headlining acts for next year's edition of the event. This will be Iron Maiden's second time performing at the festival and will be the bands only show in Germany in 2010. The festival will be held in Wacken between August 5th-7th.
Iron Maiden bass player and founder Steve Harris stated: "We had a fantastic time playing at Wacken last year so when we decided to play a few festivals in Europe next Summer it seemed a great idea to return. What could be better in Germany than to play again to the 75,000 true metalheads who go to Wacken!"
