Steven Tyler Denies That He Has Left Aerosmith

Aerosmith's lead vocalist Steven Tyler has announced that the previous rumours that he will be leaving Aerosmith are not true. He joined Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry's band The Joe Perry Project on stage recently to perform the classic, "Walk This Way" before announcing he was not leaving the legendary rock outfit. You can check out fan filmed footage below.

Cheers Stan. I know what you mean about the rumours and stuff but alot of the time when we find these stories they seem pretty concrete and news worthy. Hence why they get posted. The site doesn't post rumours anywhere near as much as we used to and I apologize on my part for the Chuck Biscuits article.

Thanks Stan. Yeah, we try to phrase them as rumors if it's clear that something is not confirmed, such as this case. We don't want to be entirely out of the loop when it's confirmed 2 weeks later and everyone heard the news elsewhere and wonders why we're so slow :-) It's a tough line to straddle.

Glad to know he hasn't left. Granted their newer material sucks, but it would be sad to see them fall apart nonetheless.

yeh its pretty hard to sift fact from fiction when your updating a site every day i think they do a f***en good job..plus it was still news clearly if tyler had to actually announce that they were rumours. i dont see any actual mistake they reported the news then they reported tyler's response. this site f***en rules i dont go anywhere else for my daily fix.

ps. what's so bad about death magnetic? i can understand giving the 3 albums before it sh**, but i thought it was a pretty decent return to form.

it may just be my opinion but it thought it was a bunch of sh** riffs piled around uninspired lyrics and vocals as well. i thought is a forced record with to much of a formula and no flow. they are not a band anymore and lars is the weakest link. if this album was to come out right after and justice for all i dont think it would would have done well i think people love this album so much because... 1.) its metallica even st. anger sold 3-4 million. 2.) its not st. anger part deux.. 3.) they brought back the solos... i think this album could have been kickass if they could get that taste of money out their mouth. megadeth, slayer, testament, exodus and even gwar are showing just because you been in the game a long time it doesnt mean you cant put out a quality release WITH a modern feel to it with out sacrificing quality. with that being said though i have to put my foot in my mouth by telling the truth... i have only heard 3 songs on the album... but never in my life have 3 songs made me not even want to give it a chance. its not fair but everytime i hear "cyanide feeling dead inside" i want to slap james in the balls get him drunk as piss and butt f*** him with a crude condom made up of disc fragments of everything b4 load then hand him a guitar and a notepad. did we need Unforgiven 3 really a third one the 2nd was pushing it..for example who listens to bat out of hell 2 3 4 and 5..the original bat out of hell f***ing destroys though right? and i cnt even comment on broken beaten and scarred without being a a$$hole i love metallica so much thats why i have such a hatred right now i see all these other classic metal bands and think why cant you kick these guys a$$ anymore?!?!? back in the day no matter how kick a$$ the new slayer or megadeth album was you knew metallica was gonna deliver a f***ing monster... just because it better than st anger dosent mean it a good album.. please dont get offended this album rubs me raw and i feel they can do so much better...damn i feel like mustaine right now i just cant stop hating them i really try!! i dont think less of anyone for liking it because to each thier own (im rocking purple rain right now) but you did ask..im really going to try and stop hating metallica now i keep this up and it makes me feel like a troll.

I understand what your saying. The thing is I don't just like metal. I like a whole range of sh** and the reason I love metallica is that they are willing to experiment and try different sh** rather than just spew out albums that are fairly narrow minded. Bands like Megadeth, Slayer and Exodus are great but they basically stick to the same formula. I have loved every metallica album in a different way and at times I am a little biased- but i just think that as a whole the metallica hating community was created when they changed their style. I get this completely but this doesnt stop me giving it a chance and trust me when you listen to an album and don't have an open mind, or think its gona be sh**- generally it doesnt have a hope.

At the end of the day, we all have different tastes and if you dont like something after enough listens then you just will never like it. I see why people are annoyed with Metallica but i still think Hetfield has his creative spark because i've heard it though all of his albums.

is this an aerosmith thread or a metallica one? while we are bringing up the subject of metallica, i would like to point out that their best album is ride the lightning, which i had on cassette tape the year it came out. yes they started as a thrash band, but please forgive them for trying to experiment and expand their style.........
