70000 Tons of Metal - The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise

"some music was meant to stay underground..."

We, The Undersigned Issues New Tour Road Report

We, The Undersigned have issued the following road report from their Canadian tour dates:

"November 5th - Mikado’s - St. Catherines, ON. On our way to a Thursday night shindig in St. Catherines we skipped down to one of Canada’s greatest wonders, Niagara Falls. For most of us this was the first time and I must say, it’s pretty badass! Go Canada!

"This particular bar is equipped with a projector and so along with cold beer and live music, the patrons are also subject to whatever sort of visual stimulation the DJ deems appropriate. I looked up at one point and saw teletubbies... during our set. Imagining our tunes with a backdrop of those little creatures is pretty comical.

"We rocked Mikado’s with 2 local bands, The Overfiend and The Flame of Iris, and had a great time doing it! Ninjaspy administered some serious pwn, as per the usual. It’s great to see brothers making music together, and doing it so well. This was the 1st show/bar that gave us a beer tab so that was kinda nice. We demolished it in a timely manner. Hopefully we caught a few eyes and ears in the St. Kitts because we’ll likely be back in the future since this show went so well. Mainly though we just want to see the Falls again! Tomorrow we backtrack to Montreal, the metal capital of Canada!

"November 6th - Bar St.Laurent - Montreal, QC. The major bonus to playing this place is the amazing sound man! I’m ashamed to say that I can’t remember his name but he’s done sound for us a couple times and it’s always a pleasure. The major let down to playing this place is the lack of parking. Just in general, playing bar’s with no parking is hellish!

"They renovated this little spot and it looks great! We rocked this cute metal bar with a couple locals. One that caught our ear was Avery’s Descent. Myspace below... All Limp Bizkit covers aside, this show was pretty badass. Nobody stood up from their seats until the moment Ninjaspy went into their opening track 'Defecating on What’s Left of our Child.' Immediately everyone was on their feet rocking out, fists in the air. The Vancouver boys have a way of communicating directly with the listeners that no one can withstand. I love it.

"To cap off this rock n roll show we took a trip up to Mount Royal to have a bon-fire with our friends in What’s He Building In There?(these guys recently relocated from Kitchener ON to Montreal QC) Seeing the city from up on that hill was pretty breath-taking. Someone brought a keg up there so we sat for hours and sipped his home brew and checked out the stars and city lights with some of our best buds. I love being on tour...

"For those that followed our tour blogs from April of 2009, you may remember that during the western leg of the tour, the sliding door to our van fell off out in AB. Well... over the summer, we repaired said door. It was back in working order. We could enter and exit the van freely, we could have parking lot picnics with the door open, all sorts of wonderful things. Last night, as we were leaving Mont Royal the door... fell off again. The disappointment that we all felt as a group is difficult to put into words. We live in this van. Being able to get in and out of it is pretty crucial. And so... here we go again playing a tour with no sliding door. Someday, WTU’s gonna get a break. Someday...

"Tomorrow we take a cruise over to Canada’s capital to play an All Ages show. We’ve never had much luck in that city so here’s hoping... THE BROKEN DOOR WILL NOT DEFEAT US!!!!!!!"
