YES!!!!!! Glad it's NOT #1. That has to be a blow to Gene's ego. And only 104,485 copies? Lame! By next week they'll be off the top 10.

By today's standards, selling over 100,000 copies is a big achievement. That should be obvious by the fact it got so high in the charts.

Good! Seeing them for the 20th time this Friday night in Hampton, VA. Everyone has comments, both good and bad about KISS. It's ok. To each his own. I've been loyal to them since the mid-70's. I'm almost 44 and also love the metal bands of today (hence the reason I visit this site). If it rocks you, it rocks you!

I will say there's nothing more rabidly loyal than a Kiss fan. That said, I have to wonder if any of the "Kiss Army" feel at all slighted by the inclusion of Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer in make-up? It's no secret Kiss are all about marketing themselves and cashing in (I forgot who Kiss were when I discovered Metallica's "Pastor of Muppets") but I thought that was a new high in lows....Ace and Peter have to be disgustipated....

I was a little taken back when the newbies were put in the character make-up, but - I'd rather see the band continue with make-up instead of not. It's all for the show, and it's such a great show. Although I'm a great fan of the original band, Tommy Thayer and especially Eric Singer are MUSICALLY much better than Ace and Peter. So, in response to KILLERNOFILLER, being an original KISS ARMY SGT, I don't feel slighted. Sometimes you have to lose weight to look/feel better!

I do have to agree that Thayer/Singer are musically superior to Frehley/Criss...If Eric Carr hadn't passed I'm sure he'd still be poundin' the skins. Any word on why Thayer instead of Bruce Kulick? While I grew away from Kiss, I still kinda check up on them from time to time for the sake of nostalgia...I always thought Kulick was top knotch.....

Yea - Thayer looks more like Ace than Bruce does in make-up! LOL! Thayer has been with the band for a very long time doing this and that. It was Thayer that taught Ace his old licks for the reunion tour. You're right - Bruce is top notch, but it seems he can't do it on his own. I picked-up his UNION stuff - was ok. I picked-up his solo stuff - was subpar.

Yeah, Gene is a media-whore. I can't say I'm stoked about a "new" Kiss offering, but I will spin "Alive" once in a while and trip on 'the good old days'. As far as reality shows go, I think Gene is the furthest removed from. As a nostalgia act, I think Kiss know their audience and cater to accordingly. Maybe they'll shock the world and put out a killer rock n' roll album. Or maybe (likely) not. Anyway, regardless of my cynism, I hope they do well.

I'll say this about KISS...2 nights ago(Monday) i saw KISS in philly at the wachovia center, and the next night(last night) i saw Shadows Fall, 2 Cents, Otep and (ugh) FFDP in philly at the TLA. KISS owns FFDP live to the point where its funny, and KISS has 2 members in they're 60's. I guess my point is id rather have KISS at #2 than a garbage band from our generation that makes us all look bad.

Dude You would be surprised how many people by music. Most of the people who like kiss Bought the album were in YOUR generation. as for our generation most of us dont even like them. I persenally by all my music. Dude also there are like 90 year old grannies who download I would think there parents are dead. So before say something about anything think about it. people in every age brackrt download. Its not just us. and kiss would never have sold 500000 copies in the first week even when they where in there hayday.

been a KISS fan since i was 10yrs. old. Just turned 41 on the 10th. seen them once in that span of time, louisville ky. animalize tour. GREAT show!! wanted to see them in '96 but by the time i got off hold at the radio station..the tickets had sold out. This Band, this entity known as KISS is the the GREATEST thing to happen to music. and so what if gene is a media whore as someone put it... these guys(gene &paul) are smart, they know how to run a business and they know how to deliver the goods. so...in closing...let me say this......God gave us rock-n-roll....but Gene & paul gave us KISS.
Live forever guys.
