Taintstick Declares War Against Country Singer Tim McGraw
In a blatant effort at self-promotion, comedy pseudo metal band Taintstick has declared war against country singer Tim McGraw and his new album "Southern Voice." The band is currently calling for McGraw's retirement in a new challenge issued by the band today.
"Look, McGraw – you've had a good run. 40 million sold and eleven consecutive number one albums. You've even got a famous wife chick, so we got nothing but love for you. Cowfucker's Mom even went to one of your concerts one time and said you put on a good show, but enough’s enough. Taintstick is here to hunt big game, and you're directly in the bullseye," said the band in a statement. "So let's do this; 'Southern Voice' vs 'Six Pounds of Sound' winner take all. Whomever sells more gets the glory, while the loser goes home forever. You in?"
Taintstick is currently awaiting a response from Tim McGraw’s camp, while they prepare for the release their debut album, "6 Pounds of Sound," on October 27th, 2009 through Suburban Noize Records. The group recently announced they have recruited Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden to handle bass duties for their upcoming World Tour.
You can check out a few songs on the band's MySpace page, most of which are heavier than the Blink 182 style satire in the "Apple Juice" music video below.

Dude have you seen t mcgraw...dude is yoaked out 1 and 2 this whole thing is fahqn ridiculous anyways...you put those clowns, any one of them 1 on 1 with tim in a ufc style cage match, tim would kill em....mcgraw has also jumped into the crowd a few times and roughed up a few wife beaters...not a mcgraw fan, but the guy aint no pushover........

So you have to use Tim Mcgraw to sell you Lame music!
Let's do this...You come back after 20 years in the bussiness, 40 millions records sold, 27 number hits, have a few best Sold Out "Big Arena" shows, a few movies, a number #1 song that spent 10 weeks at the top of the charts, be the best selling artist of a decade...so far Tim Mcgraw is the best selling "country" artist of this decade and then put up an offer!
You won't even come close to doing anything that Tim has done....or even anything his wife "Chick" has done.

Oh believe me..I got a good laugh at this....
I thought...this band I never heard of is actually using a country singer in attemps to get notice to help record sells. Joke or not..you would have to think Tim's fan would have something to say about this.
I'm sure Tim will get a great laugh too...haha
FYI..Funny thing is..Tim did a play an cage fighter in his last movie.

Tim McGraw fans: This is a pseudo comedy metal band. I realize this may be a stretch for you folks since C&W doesn't really have any bands like Taintstick and Steel Panther, but for us metal heads, this kind stuff is funny and we don't take it seriously so maybe you shouldn't either. In fact, Apple Juice is not even metal. As MetalFan420 pointed out it's a poke at pop-punk so just chill.

I believe you guys if you say "Taintstick" is a joke band and really mean nothing by their challenge. But what was the purpose of singling out McGraw, other than the fact that their albums drop the same week. It's slightly disrespectful as well as stupid and McGraw shouldn't respond.
9. writes:
Actually, if you think about it, it's publicity for both so I would imagine that McGraw appriciates the attention and is mature enough to have a good laugh about it. The only thing I see as being a bit tawdy is the McGraw fans comming to the Metal Underground to talk smack regarding a subject they know absolutely nothing about. Don't you guys have your own websites to idolize Tim McGraw on?

11. writes:
You can be a fan and not idolize someone.
I think we know what pseudo bands and singers are..I've been on this earth long enough. Still have never heard of this one. I do listen to more then country music.
They could have pointed out any singer or band and those fans would be here to back up their artist. No sure why people would be surprised by that.

Haha! I love how people take sh** to another level. I listen to Jason Ellis everyday and he is sooooo funny and they just mentioned the whole them vs. Tim Mcgraw and they were sarcastic when they said McGraw should watch out b/c they know how damn big he is and they gave him props too. They are jokesters just messing around and if you have never listened to faction on sirius in the afternoon you are missing out b/c they are tooooo damn funny. But what makes me laugh is how annoyed and serious people take this joke. We all know Tim McGraw will sell millions so mellow out...it is all in fun!

I hate 'comedy metal', I hate it so damn much. It's a RARE band that can pull it off, and even those rare bands I rarely listen to.
I have a sense of humour - a great sense of humour - but this just isn't funny. Sorry guys. Time to face facts. Good PR stunt, but gtfo. K? K.

lol I guess Aussie humor and American humor could be pretty different. Personally, I tend to like jokes with a punchline. To me, this whole stunt is pretty much the band saying "Hey, we need some attention, everybody look at us, HURR DURR!!!" Which really isn't all that funny as far as I can tell.
Besides, a band shouldn't need to have to pick on some famous name in order to sell albums. If they can't sell albums off the strength of their music, they shouldn't be a band. That might not apply to some particularly cult/underground bands that have no interest in becoming mainstream, but this is clearly not one of those bands. Frankly, I wouldn't be unhappy to see them go their ways.

I love the attention this is getting from both sides! The original goal was to sell more albums than Paris Hilton did. Then, as Ellis listeners know, sh*t escalated and McGraw became the clearly out of reach target. The reason they picked McGraw was precisely because his album releases at the same time.

RTB: It seemed a bit out of sorts for you. But seriously, I didn't know that a JC action figure was actually an item available for purchase. Why aren't you a member yet?
Imposter RTB: Deathbringer has graced us with an IP logged button and all it takes is a quick email to DB to have you forever erased from the MU and banned from this site all together. If you've got something to say to me; say it without hiding behind someone elses log in. BTW, i'm straight so if this is an attempt to ask me out on a date you've failed miserably. Failure must come easy to you.

36. writes:
Bg thanks bro...it might have to come to that after this...those split personas of me are long gone...ya and that JC figure is still a classic..LOL
But i ll be real with you..everytime my wife sees me on the computer or texting or whatever, she thinks im downloading porn, cheating on her or up to something fishy, and im tired of hearing her bullsh!t...so most of the time my logs are via the sidekick when shes not around....sounds pathetic, but thats the truth...shes a good woman, but the insecurity amount is still high with her...after 7 years as well...never cheated never downloaded porn..idk man, fahqn women....anyways ill figure something out til then your smart enough to know the real me by now...cheers bro

The "challenge" comes in the spirit of the Kanye vs. Fifty Cent war.........All of the c***ry fans should relax a bit. If Taintstick was of the caliber of T. Mcgraw, you likely would have heard of them by now. If it wasn't for people having a sense of humor and making us laugh a bit....wouldn't this world suck? Then again, c***ry fans created Hee-Haw.....need I say more?
