BEHEMOTH is still dominating charts worldwide with their latest full-length release, "Evangelion," which was released on August 11. "Evangelion" has now entered its fourth week in the Polish music charts coming in at the #1 spot three weeks in a row and one week at the #2 spot, just behind Michael Jackson.
Guitarist/vocalist Adam "Nergal" Darski comments; “It's unheard of. Evangelion is storming the charts in Poland and we've been three weeks in row number one selling record in our home country. How insane is that? If someone had told me this few months ago I would have never believed that this conservative country can embrace us so much. Things are changing. And it feels good. I'm grateful and happy that people dig this record so much…again, I want to thank everyone who picked up his copy of Evangelion. It means a lot!”
Evangelion's first week worldwide chart numbers were as follows:
Poland: #2
Finland: #17
Austria: #45
Germany: #59
Switzerland: #88
Netherlands: #5 (Indie Charts)
USA:
#56 Billboard Top 200
#5 Billboard Hard Music Albums
#6 Billboard Independent Albums
Canada:
#61 Top 200 Current Albums
#6 Independent Chart
#10 Hard Music Chart
In other BEHEMOTH news, the video for "Ov Fire and the Void" continues to create controversy. The band's new video has recently been banned from MTV, meaning metalers will not be able to catch the epic video on Headbangers Ball. You can still view the video online, however.

Holy fvcking sh1t!! That video is so friggin epic, I jizzed throughout the entire thing! That sucks about it being banned, though its awesome they're getting that much coverage - which is pretty suprising at the same time. Its great to see so many metalheads storming the charts for that period of time, just as mv said, power of the people \m/

Wow, that's pretty "cool & heavy" news BEHEMOTH hit the Music charts "Worldwide" like a jet takeoff: their newest album Behemoth "Evangelion" (did not know I was pronouce it wrong...'unitil I heard them Adam/Nergal & Tomasz/Orion in interviews say the name correctly: now I say it both ways). Anyway, it's a real "rattle-thunder" storm album: very powerful/strong passionate heartpulse vibes & grooves, haunting & the inside photos' send a chill down one's spine. I brought the Deluxe BEHEMOTH CD/DVD package that has a documentary of how "Evangelion" came to be it's awesome to watch them/Seth, Inferno, Orion & Nergal at work/& interviews each dressed all in mystery-black & the "many" people that participated in helping them put their new alum out! That beautiful/black raven is real, so are the dogs but they seem pretty well tamed/happy & cared for, thank God. I thought that quite "brave" of Behemoth (Inferno, Orion & especially Nergal for he was the one that held the raven) to have a huge Raven/crowe around them...'it was freakin' me out! All in all "magnetic & gripping" force new album from this T-Rex Metal extreme band BEHEMOTH: all the best & Congrats to Nergal, Inferno, Orion/my personal favorite & Seth (in future have Seth included in the Promo shots, too). Peace & Rock On!
