Heavy metal godfathers Black Sabbath have announced that they will be re-issuing their albums, "Volume. 4," "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath," "Sabotage", "Technical Ecstacy" and "Never Say Die!" on September 21st. Unlike the recent re-issues of the albums, "Black Sabbath," "Paranoid" and "Masters Of Reality," there will be no bonus tracks on these releases.

Well I do enjoy reissues overall. The sound quality on the box set was much improved over the old stuff I had. So that's my question - what's different from the boxed set? (not like I would go buy them anyway after owning the whole set).

I'm assuming the point is to put more money in Sharon's hands. With that said... I'll pass.

Maybe its better this way. I´d be p***ed off if every album would come with a 20-30min "The making of" DVD. Then I´d be forced to buy some of this stuff again for the 3rd time (I´ve still got some Sabbath albums on vinyl as well...)

I always enjoy the making of DVDs because I'm a real geek for that kind of stuff and I like to hear any stories from the recording process and the thoughts behind the album and such. I don't always make a point of buying a CD w/ DVD if the DVD is just live stuff though.

Same here Oz. You seen Mastodon's "Making of Crack the Skye"? Essential stuff! Probably the best "making of" Ive ever seen. It even includes a fantastic 'lawn mower' interview with Brann

Every record (cd) that I have ever bought that was a "re-master" was in my opinion way better on sound quality but they also came with bonus tracks too.
