Gojira And Volbeat Added To Metallica Tour

Metallica has announced that in addition to Lamb Of God, Gojira and Volbeat will also be joining them on their North American tour this Fall. A message from the band reads as follows:

"While we are still enjoying our European summer vacation, a quick note here about the fall shows in North America. Our French friends GOJIRA will be joining us, along with LAMB OF GOD, for shows September 14 – October 18, while Lars' brethren from Denmark VOLBEAT will hanging for the shows October 26 – December 12. One other quick thing – unfortunately Lamb of God cannot continue on with us in December, so we'll have more news about those shows for you later. See you out there!"

The tour dates are as follows:

Gojira swapped sets with Death Angel at Graspop and they had the decency to only tell us in Dutch. So imagine my face when I went to see Death Angel and those f***ers popped up. I don't have anything against them but I couldn't help but shout to myself "... What the f*** is this sh**?!"

then again, it pisses me off a bit because i only paid 40 to see Lamb of God, Machine head, trivium and Gojira. Goddamnit.

Oz - that timings mess up was because Howard jones' grandmother died, changed all the sets around. And also Gojira had to get two flights, which delayed them.

Shoulda gone to the info tent ;)

Graspop was pretty good imo. Headliners failed except slipknot, although they weren't at their best.

Yeah I remember them announcing about Howard Jones's nan, I didn't think to go to the info tent though. Lives and learns I suppose. At least I'd seen Death Angel before so I wasn't TOO disappointed. I enjoyed Motley Crue and Slipknot, Manson was shockingly bad though.

Nothinghead - Gama bomb are an irish thrash band, Thin Lizzy and Stiff Little fingers are Irish hard rock, other than that I would have been Irishmetalhead, but it's a pain to fill in sometimes and I'm lazy :P
