That was fairly unimpressive. There were several points where he could have knocked it up a notch, but he only did it once towards the end.
Not that I'm a good guitarist, but those were fairly generic phrases and I'm kinda dissapointed that that was the best of the ones who tried out, seeing as I've seen many better amateur guitarists.

Congrats JACK !!! I saw many players that I liked in this competition, but when I heard Jack, I was blown away ! I was so happy he won. Dear Mr. DagMX, maybe it's time to get the hearing checked. "Generic phrases, Have seen many better amateur guitarists, Unimpressive and Could have turned it up a notch." TOTAL NONSENSE. And to Bloodofheroes, I did hear a hint of Satch (but only after hearing his excellent cover of Flying In A Blue Dream). Certainly not a Satriani clone. Listen to his "Improvise On Dorian Change" on YouTube. It is some of the most exciting and tasteful playing I've heard in ages and his original "On The Way" is now among my favorite guitar instrumentals ever. In closing, commenting on your "Not that I'm a good guitarist" I would bet anything that you are not ! WAY TO GO JACK ! WELL DONE !!! I'm now performing "On The Way" in my live show. Thanks for a great composition ! Jon Pike, Pro guitarist and educator (no offense intended) Rock !!! PIKE

sounds like satriani, but that isn't a bad thing
