Megadeth Checks In with Recording Update

Megadeth frontman, Dave Mustaine, has checked in with the following recording update:

"Droogies!

"It has been one month since I got home from the Priest Feast! And in that time, we have unpacked, repacked for Germany, unpacked, repacked for Anaheim, unpacked, went into the studio and started writing and recording guitar and vocals.

"I have sang and played guitar, we have edited several songs from the block of music each song initially was, into new and individual arrangements on each song. I have played electric, and did rhythm only so far.

"Chris [Broderick] has played almost everyday, for all day once I grow tired, and he has played electric and acoustic. I went into the room that he was isolated in and he had his special little foot stand for his acoustic in the room and I said, 'Wassup Estoban!' (or whatever that dudes name is).

"I have sang seven songs and with the instrumental track equally eight, there is only three more songs to sing and the vocals are done for the Domestic release. I will need to add one more song for the Japanese release. I also need to have a B-song, and I am trying to salvage a song that we opted against for this record. This was song that Shawn [Drover] wrote and I just didn't like it. I opted to not do it; and then I started to get another idea, like I told them, and to let me see what i come up with.

"Well, Andy [Sneap] and I have come up with something that I think is better, and I will just have to wait and see.

"I have to get going to get to the studio on time, and its also getting close to the time that we are going to officially announce the tour dates coming up next. Stay tuned for more, and check out my number for TheLIVELine.com."

The new Megadeth album is expected to be released in September.

I detect a bit of sarcasm there...

Droogies are, to Dave, what Maggots are to Slipknot... His sheep as such!

No offense or anything. But Shawn Drover wrote it. I'd dump it too. Or at least salvage what I could. Never mind the fact that he's the drummer.

"Droogs" or "Droogies" were slang terms used in "A Clockwork Orange" to denote friends, buddies, pals, what have ya.

Mustaine is such a f***ing bastard. I mean... dumping a bandmates song, which is ok if it was crap (thats what bands do all the time, as far as I know) but going and telling everybody...???? Also in addition, telling everybody who wrote it?? What a moron. And Daves on a roll otherwise as well.. "I went into the room that he was isolated in and he had his special little foot stand for his acoustic in the room and I said, 'Wassup Estoban!' (or whatever that dudes name is)".
Right on Dave. Once again stuff we all need to know.

Alright, can't wait for the new album. and you know what love them or hate them, they have stood the test of time, and i will say this for MEGADETH, they haven't sold out like "another" band from the same time frame. I don't know why the HATERS don't get it over it and realize MEGADETH is going to be around for a long time to come......

That was short for a dave rant. Usually he drones on and on about pro tools and number one records and other stupid sh**. Oh and he sounds like an old woman live now too.
