Robs rendition of halloween was great,..it blew away h20 and resurrection, hopefully this will be it, like he ended corpses after 2 only.....as long as theres no has been rappers in this flick, im down.....only worry is this film was kinda rushed, when movies or albums are rushed there usually not quite as good as the previous works,....but robs movies are getting better...... will be there opening day

evil dead is a movie that should never be remade. the sh**ty special effects and silly puns were what made the movie great; i just dont see how you could update the movie and keep those qualities intact. not to mention how impossible it would be to find a suitable replacement for bruce campbell, considering hes probably too old to be put into remake of a movie he starred in as a teen anyway.
as for this movie...i need to check it out. i hope its good because i jut watched wolverine origins...and that movie....lets just say whoever wrote, directed, and produced that movie, they all need a swift donkey d***-slap to the face. f*** that movie. they ruined deadpool. idiots

Blindgreed/FAN, how come y'all think it is okay to remake Halloween, Friday the 13th, etc but it is not okay to remake Evil Dead or Army of Darkness? Looking at posts 16 & 17 I would tend to think that you guys share my opinion that the Halloween remake should never happened.

Bruno: Because NOBODY can replace Bruce Campbell or his cheesy over the top character. His one liners were classic and trying to remake those would be a half a$$ed re-run attempt. In addition, as FAN mentioned, the crappy special effects complimented the comedy aspect of both films. The re-make's of Halloween and Friday the 13th had something more to offer in the latest installments. For Halloween it was a glimpse into Michael and what makes him tick (which was actually there in the first one but I thought RZ did a better job of driving it home). For Friday the 13th, it was an actual story line that went beyond the usual kids at camp get murdered by Jason because they were doing drugs and having sex. In the case of Friday the 13th I really enjoyed that aspect of the remake. Halloween was a more subtle addition, which as I mentioned above, will more than likely pay off in the 2nd movie.

Mornin' dudes!
Godlike- Hey, what's happenin'? I thought FAN was a Canuck. Oh well.
BlindGreed- I agree, no way in hell should they remake Evil Dead, or Creepshow for instance, I was just curious as to your viewpoint on this matter.
Put it this way bro- if we were chilling at your house having a couple of beers on a Friday or something and you threw in either the Halloween or Friday the 13th remake I would watch it and not b****, I just wouldn't spend my cash on it.
I think may have said before, I am not sure, that I did not care for the remake but I am looking forward to what Rob is doing with the new one.
oh yeah, The Spirit comes out on DVD today. I am going to pick it up for sure.

^everybody knows that gum on your shoes in the winter make ya wlk funny!
Thats the only line i remember from the spirit lol
and hell the f*** no I'm not a kanuck(no offense meant to you damn dirty Kanucks) I'm a american damnit lol
but yeah, my opinion on the remakes is pretty much in BG's last post somewhere. :P
I knew the wolverine movie was gona suck, so i watched it on surfthechannel.com(ask godlike for details). I had already decided that I didnt want to spend money on watching that damn thing. Problem is, the movie sucked SOOO bad, that even though I watched it for free...I still want my money back.
I will reiterate, as a courtesy to to anyone who might think they want to watch this movie in theaters...they f***in ruined deadpool. Chose the perfect actor, special effects were fine concerining how badass he was supposed to be...but that was in the beginning of the movie. they took a great platform...and took a great big comic book dump on that platform. they ruined deadpool. oh yeah, and the rest of the movie was garbage too. lol

I loathed, despised, absolutely abhorred "The Spirit". A friend asked how it was I said, "if you are thinking of renting it, get Battlefield Earth instead".
I'd suggest renting before buying Bruno. Just friendly advice for your wallet :)
And yeah, about Wolverine, just proving what I've said from day one. I want it to rock, but i know i'll be disappointed. Liev Shreiber will still be awesome though. But only cause he is.

Sorry Netro, saw it in the theater already and have already decided to buy it. My girl Scarlett looks absolutely stunning as a Nazi. Had I been alone in the theater, I might have been busted for pullin' a PeeWee Herman.
As far as Wolverine, I have hated every single X-men related movie and doubt this one will be any different. My expectations are through the roof for anything "X" related, and I have been disapointed beyond belief (so far).

To each his own, brother. I respect your opinion. We all like what we like.
I agree though abot the X-Men franchise. I put it this way. They are great superhero movies if you completely ignore the plot. They get actors who fit the characters, great action scenes, great look and feel to the flick and then f*** it all up with stupid story. Ian McKellan was awesome as Magneto. And I loved Kelsey Grammar as Beast. And to be honest, Hugh Jackman really has made Logan his own, but none of them could keep it afloat for long. Comic movies will do better when writers realize that we aren't all idiots who will accept any sh** they spoonfeed us just cause they slap a superhero name on it.
I won't be holding my breath.

Netromancer- I really hope that Watchmen does exactly that. That was an example of staying close to the source material. Visually, I thought the film was phenomenal, and even though I didn't agree with some of the plot/dialogue changes and omissions, I consider it the best comic/graphic novel adaption.
