Ronnie James Dio Writing Autobiography

Legendary heavy metal singer Ronnie James Dio (Dio, Black Sabbath, Heaven And Hell, Rainbow and Elf) has revealed that he is the latest metal icon to begin working on his life story. He claims the book will be, "not be centred around myself so much as me telling my life story through the stories of those around me."
"Every time I feel I’m getting halfway there, another halfway comes along,” he says. “But yes, I’m writing it and it’s certainly going to be very, very interesting for people interested in the bands I’ve been in and the people I’ve played with.
"You have to have a focal point, and I guess that had to be me. It’s an autobiography, but within it, I tell the stories that somehow explain a little bit what Ritchie (Blackmore)’s like or Tony (Iommi)’s like or Geezer (Butler)’s like. I don’t analyse them, but just in telling the tales I paint everyone in as good a light as possible. It’s not a tell-all book."

FAN, have you ever seen Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels? A guy gets beaten to death with a twelve inch rubber c***. Images if that came flooding back to me when you said that lol. I'd be really interested if Rob Halford was to write a book, I'd buy it. Main reason being because Halford seems to have a more laid back attitude and a friendlier person than Dio or Mustaine come across as being. I have to get round to buying Paul Di'anno's book at some point, I'm told it's fantastic.

I've met Dio. The dude is nice as hell. shorter than my shin too, but thats besides the point. Topping his niceness level is hard to beat.
then again, Rob's used to beating hard things... buh-dum tiss!
I do need to see that movie DO, that and snatch, and RocknRolla, and a bunch others. just short on cash, I dont like downloading movies, so I have to wait, unlike with music, where I get what I want, when I want it lol
I would truthfully read both a dio and a halford biography. all jokes aside, they've seen and done too much for the metal world for me to not be intrigued by their written word account of it all.
Dave mustaine on the other hand... I'll buy his autobiography only beacuse I like buying expensive toilet paper.

When it comes to Best Metal Vocalists, Ronnie is easily up there with classic Ian Gillan and Rob Halford, Graham Bonnet, and Eric Adams. He also played with almost every one of the greatest lead guitarists in Metal.
So, I guess that means I can't wait for his autobiography (laughing).
