^tell me how that movie was when you're done...I've been meaning to watch it, and I trust the godlike's opinion on comedy.
Why does Bullet for my vagina keep getting added to bills with bands i would like to see? first Wacken, then Mayhem with slayer, now this. Screw bottles of piss, throw a molotov.

I went to some place called Careerworx and they made my resume real pretty, lol. Before it looked quite plain.
Also, when I went to the camera store to purchase a specific camera, they told me they JUST sold out of that model, and then I asked about some cameras within a specific price range, but they decided to be pushy a$$holes and recommend cameras that were far too expensive for me. I eventually got annoyed and said "umm you know what, I don't want a camera anymore. BYE."

IN - Take some time to watch the movie "Sling Blade" with Billy Bob Thornton... You'll understand what the odd comments are all about ;-)
Bg1 - I dont really want to say its a better movie than Pineapple Express... just because the subject matter of those two movies is so different..!! However, I will say that its completely FULL of what my ol lady calls "guy humor"...!! Which means, she would never watch it or Pineapple Express either.. !!
There were many times, that I had to stop and rewind the movie to catch something I missed cause I was laughing so hard..!
When and if anyone decides to watch it, make sure you sit through a few minutes of credits to catch another 5min of footage before the real ending.!!
ap1 - yeah, slow day around here too.!
alright then :-|
29. writes:
IN: I don't believe there are any R&B or Hip Hop artists on the score either. Still, it's a good movie. Just close your eyes while the Billy Bob is talking and imagine the things he says are actually comming out of Ice Cube's mouth. That will make it more bearable for you, and now that I think about it, funny as all hell.
33. writes:
IN: I think you're going to like Sling Blade. Overall, it's kinda slow, but in the end, you will like it.
Blind: Indeed sir, you DO need to watch Pineapple Express. Now, if you don't mind, I'd kindly like to just sit here with my arm around you for a bit............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................all right then. mmm.
34. writes:
You know what I watched recently? The Golden Compass. It was pretty good, but I felt it ended with some unresolved issues, and I HATE when that happens in a movie. I don't care for a happy ending, I just care to know what may have happened with all the problems. A bad ending can ruin my time, man.
35. writes:
AP1: I've already seen Pineapple Express, in fact I was a first day buyer when it became available on DVD. I was talking about Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Right then.... Mmmm. lol!!! Now I have to watch it again.
IN: The dogs are just being dogs. Maybe your doing something to annoy them and they are just getting back at you? lol.
36. writes:
Blindgreed, it's different when it's several large dogs barking in sequence in a very loud manner.
Also, I just heard about this new movie out called The Last House on the Left, and this description sounds interesting:
"Sadistic brutal violence including a rape and disturbing images, language, nudity and some drug use."
Sounds kinky.
44. writes:
IN: "The Golden Compass. It was pretty good, but I felt it ended with some unresolved issues" This is based on a book and I think was meant to have two sequels. What's up with them I don't know, but I don't think Golden Compass grossed much money, so they may never happen.
"In March 2008, The Golden Compass producer Deborah Forte expressed optimism that sequels could be made, and said that she intended to see them realized, but the studio decided not to make them. In December 2008, The Independent noted that a risky economic climate may have contributed to the non-production of further films, as "wider film industry is expecting to tighten its belt in 2009".

WHY HAVEN"T THE TESTAMENT DATES BEEN POSTED! I HEARD THEY ARE TOURING IN THE SPRING!
Inferno- The Last House remake will suck balls just like all remakes suck balls. Black Christmas ring a bell? See the original, which itself was a rip-off of an older movie whose name I cannot recall at the moment. It is a strange movie. One of my favorite scenes is when the mom is giving the dude head and right when he is about to c** she bites his d*** off. Ironically, the actor in that scene ended up having a career in porn. Again, the remake will blow donkeys for nickels! Stay away from the remake! repeat: Stay away from the remake!
Did I mention to stay away from the remake!?!

Happy St Patricks Day!
Inferno- And The Golden Compass is done, which disappoints me. I liked it when I saw it.
BlindGreed- I whole heartedly disagree with Rob Zombie's remake being better than the original. Oh, the "new Urkel" was fvckin' classic. I want it to be my screen saver!
Godlike- I liked the song you sent me. I have been meaning to shoot you an e-mail proper-ropper. Maybe today I will...

66. writes:
Kali- I was at the bar until midnight, so yeah I forgot to post. I usually make St Patty's day at least a two day celebration, hahaha! Also, you are in no place to pull metal cards with all the lovey dovey warm fuzzy feeling stuff you have been posting lately, lol,.

Bruno: House of Blues - 6/11 (Testament). We are going to have to agree to disagree on Halloween. I liked the time spent in developing Michaels character in the RZ version.

Oh, ya know lil this lil that. Spending as much time with Sven as I can get. To be honest, I maybe single, and free to do who I want, but he is the only man I care to make love to, and trust that he does not take it for granted. I also can't just sit on the comp at work, and my phone is acting funny on MU. Oh well.... got a laptop, a place that loves me, and has free wifi. How are you, Blind?

74. writes:
So who is getting drunk today/tonight? I know I am!
I have held off drinking long enoough and am going to have a few cold ones and maybe have some chick kiss my Blarney Stone.
I was walking downtown yesterday and was stoked to see Revolucion Tacos advertising for St Patty's Day. I thought they only celebrated the fifth of mayonnaise.

77. writes:
Busy, Blind? With work, and the band, I assume. I am glad to hear you are in good spirit's about everything. I am aswell. The ex tried accusing me of eating the hamburger he got Sunday. Told him it was not me that ate it, and that he was the one that did when he made meatloaf the other day. Breaking up with him was a smart thing on my part, and not at all sad about it. I have a wonderful man in my future that I know, and trust will treat me well, and never treat me with dis-respect.
Bruno, see you later, man!

Blind: I don't hide 'em brother. They're out in the open. Nestled comfrotably between November 17 and Opeth. It's not bad here today. Felt good running this morning, except for that damn headwind. I barely made it under 12 minutes.
NP: Anthrax= Keep It In The Family

85. writes:
The downtown area by me is going to have a parade and celtic music and there are like 40 bars. It will be awesome. The only three holidays I look forward to are St Patty's, Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Blind- It is a beuatiful day here as well. 90% of the bars in that same downtown area have patios, so it will be quite scenic to watch the people celebrating, all the while drinking green beer.
Kali- You should volunteer to be a designated driver. Alot of people are going to be getting drunk and most will be driving. You may end up saving a life.

88. writes:
Kali- Really? I didn't know you don't drive. That is cool. Unfortunately in CA the only people who don't have cars are poor Mexicans. We are slaves to our automobiles here. I actually just bought a bike about two weeks ago and hope that I will force me be able to drive less.
93. writes:
Kali - Maybe thats a good thing, that ya dont drive ;-)
The world needs bus riders too ..!!
Bruno - Hey buddy., thanks for the comments from earlier..!! Glad ya liked it \m/
Bg1 - Somehow I knew your outlook on St Patty's Day ;-)
Q. What do you call a homosexual Irish couple..?
A. Gerald Fitzpatrick and Patrick Fitzgerald

94. writes:
Kali- Actually, I think it is kind of cool you don't drive. I commend your sense of responsibility. You know you could potential be a risk behind the wheel, so therefore you don't get behind it. I wish more people would do that. If we could get all female drivers off the road the world would be a safer place. OK, I had to throw that in there ;)
Godlike- Hey, what's happin'? You enjoyin' the Iowa heat wave my friend?

Thanks Kali, for the hug and not driving ;-)
There should certainly be more people in the world that can admit that they should not be driving..!!
Ive seen my fair share of them, and even rode with a few too... WOW..!!
Thats almost like a death sentence.... only not prolonged for years..!?

99. writes:
Godlike- I can only imagine some of the crazy sh** you have seen on the road. I an sure you could write a novel about the lack of precaution most drivers exhibit while driving.
Kali- Seriously though I wish more people used there judgment as well as you are.
Now playing- Flogging Molly Drunken Lullabyes (getting in the mood)
101. writes:
Thanks guys. How some people can get behind the wheel with no thought as to what lives they are putting at risk floores me. My drinking does not help either. I do prefer to have a shot without worring that I may need to drive. Sven is a good man like that. He never drinks, and drives. I love that he is so law abiding, and it has little to do with what he does for our country. It is just in the man's nature.

Also, I really hate the weather here sometimes. It was so nice and sunny out earlier, then it gradually got very cold, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE'S HEAVY RAIN. Thankfully someone let me use their cell phone, so I left a message on my sweetie's phone saying "OH MY GOD IT'S RAINING REALLY BADLY AND I'M FREEZING HELP ME HELP ME HELP ME I'M RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE MALL" and now I'm finally home... ohhhh my god I was so not ready for that. :|

121. writes:
Inferno- I thnk you are unfairly comparing a movie made in the late seventies to the mentality of movies made today. These days people have no imagination so they need every aspect broken down and explained to them. Old movies had a, for a lack of a better term, "mystique" about them. That is why I also didn't like the Halloween remake. Regarding the weather, I hope it rains buckets tomorrow. "The Messiah" is making an appearance at the county fairgrounds. Word is he is going to return the sight of a blind boy.
122. writes:
Bruno, I was not making any comparisons. Billy seemed to be a random character that was just thrown in at the end. There wasn't enough on him. I like mystery, but I don't like things that are half-assed. If there was more character development for him, I'd have not been so annoyed after watching that movie.
123. writes:
Kali: Funny you should mention that. We've been doing Seek and Destroy at our last two shows and frankly... I suck at Hetfield. I started doing it my own way and it sounds much better (to me anyway).
Bruno: That man is going to heal me. I will finally be able to see what everyone else takes for granted. Blue skies, a steamy pile of sh!t on a cold winter day. Lindsay Lohan's meat curtains. Oh praise that Messiah man. He's a gift from gawod!!! I'm a little fvcked up right now....

129. writes:
AP1: I actually heard that phrase from a woman I know. Meat curtains.... Kinda grows o ya doesn't it?
Bruno: Absolutely not! I can't see it, so whatever's clever right?
Kali: No, we don't bother recording fly by night covers anymore (we did for an album called "Counterfeit" that I did in the early years of BG, but getting the rights was a real b!tch).
Everybody needs to wish a happy St. Patty's day to Irish today man! Come on! Support our Irish brother.

I wish my Judas Priest CDs would come in the mail. Since I've left last time I pretty much have the entire Priest discography except the live CDs and the couple that still need to come in the mail, "Screaming for Vengeance" and "Defenders of the Faith."
Now playing: Judas Priest - "Starbreaker"
141. writes:
godlike: It's even better on two for one cupon day!
TOG: I agree, but you have to understand that Halford was a hard act to follow. Especially with all of the emotion surrounding his departure at the time. It's definately not a gig I would rush into and if I did I would have insisted on a name change.
143. writes:
Blind -- Much agreed, but then a lot of people wouldn't have known who they were if they went under a different name, but perhaps then there'd be less resentment.. kind of like the whole Heaven and Hell / Black Sabbath deal. Few people outside the metal community know who Heaven and Hell are, but everyone knows Black Sabbath.
Now playing: Judas Priest - "Metal Gods"
144. writes:
godlike -- In my opinion it's worth every penny I spent (which really isn't much -- I bought most of them used for around $6 apiece). I don't know that I'll ever really get bored with Priest either, I've been listening to them pretty steadily since before my computer screwed up. But maybe that's just because I'm biased, lol.
145. writes:
TOG - I have everything up through "Defenders of the Faith"... So, all I have left to get,
is everything since that one ;-)
Do you happen to have Glen Tiptons solo album named "Baptism of Fire" .. Its actually pretty good... He does all vocals and guitars... Bassists are Robert Trujillo and Billy Sheehan.. And Cozy Powell does most of the drumming...
There is an excellent cover the Stones " Paint it Black"..
147. writes:
TOG: That's where the rocord company is supposed to come in and do their part and advertize the fvck out of it and make sure everyone knows who it is and when the album drops. Unfortunately, not many now day's do much advertizing for their signed bands.
godlike: Tipton is a huge stones fan so I bet he ripped that one up. Cozy... RIP.
148. writes:
TOG - Just glad I could have something to add to the conversation ;-)
Yeah, its worth adding to your collection if you can find it... It was released in '97
Bg1 - Hey man, ya want me to email the disc to ya.? I just went and dug it out of my collection... Damn, I havent listened to it in years..!?
150. writes:
godlike -- I just looked on the Metal Archives and saw that Tipton had another solo album out in 2006 (recorded in '96 though) with John Entwistle (The Who bassist) and Cozy Powell entitled "Edge of the World." Record companies rejected it at first because it sounded "too old-fashioned", but it was later released on Rhino Records in '06.
151. writes:
TOG - Well isnt that odd... The notes say that this was recorded in '96.... Wondering if the tunes were all recorded together..??
Entwistle was such an amazing bassist... And Cozy Powell drumming on that one too..??
Seems that Mr.Tipton was able to bring in some pretty well known musicians to help him out..!!
153. writes:
godlike: Sure man, i've always wanted to do that song and just beef it up metal style. I also suggested to the guys last weekend that we do a slow heavy grindcore style of Bad Company (the song). It went over pretty well with them so we'll see on Friday.
NP: Heft! - Fastway
154. writes:
TOG - Wow, a person learns something new everyday... Kinda funny how he ended up without Entwistle but added Billy Sheehan..?
Bg1 - Ok buddy.... the CD is on its way..!!
A heavy cover of "Bad Company"... that sounds excellent.!! Always been one of my favorite tunes by that band... among so many others.!!
155. writes:
160. writes:
godlike: There was actually a few strippers involved and a hotel room full of coke in Las Vegas. Now that's rock and fvcking roll legend sh!t right there! Hail Entwistle!!! To be honest, so far the biggest dissappointment on the album is the stones cover. I was hoping he's beef it up, but he stuck to the script.
AP1: Nobody likes a smart a$$.lol. How's it goin today brother?
NP: Extinct - Tipton
168. writes:
Kali - Well thanks for pointing that out ;-)
Sorry, Im old and stoned, so my memory isnt what it used to be.. Or is it.., I cant really remember
when the last time I forgot something was..?
Bg1 - Nope, in all honesty neither of my grandfathers died like that... but it helps the joke ;-)
169. writes:
Mornin', or afternoon Metal-heads. It's funny to me how expansive Robert Trujillo's career has been. Glen Tipton, Ozzy, Jerry Cantrell, Infectious Grooves, Suicidal, Black Label Society, so much more. The dude has been around for decades and is known as an incredible bassist and a professional in the studio. Still, people b**** about him joining Metallica. Hell, to watch the guy audition, how could they not hire him? He's phenomenal.
171. writes:
Netro -- I think people are still bitter that Cliff Burton died. Ever since he died both Newsted and Trujillo have been hated by most of the diehard old school fans because Metallica's music seems to change whenever they change the bassist and people just assume that it's their fault, not Hetfield's or Ulrich's.
174. writes:
Netro - Indeed the guy is an amazing bassist.!
Not sure why anyone should be upset about him joining Metallica other than him ;-)
Although, if I was him, I would certainly enjoy following Jason Newsted's opening rather than
Newsted coming in after Cliff died.. Bummer..!! I was able to see Metallica on the MoP tour and witnessed that guys abilities... Whoa..!!
And they were the 2nd band of a 5 band lineup that included Nugent and Aerosmith as the headliner..!!
176. writes:
I agree about Daisley's stuff, but honestly think if he didn't do it, someone else would have been tapped for it. I'm in no way privy to the info leading up to the remakes, but I assume it wasn't a majority decision on the bands part. As I'm sure not much is anymore in the Ozzy camp.
And yeah, I think most people who listen to Metallica realize that their best music was made with Cliff. Jason, however, left because he had no creative input, but some people still lay the music change at his feet. I wonder at times if the band themselves were harder on him because he simply was not Cliff?
They went from a bassist who was one of the absolute greats in ability and creativity to a kid they basically kept around to follow orders and was allowed no input. Then when he quits the band does interviews about how much Trujillo has contributed. As in all cases Metallica I just blame the severe dysfunction and control issues between james and Lars.
180. writes:
"Netromancer- The Prophet of Metal"
lol, it has a nice ring to it.
...AJFA was good because all the music was already written before Cliff's death. However, they made the new guy write his own bass lines to everything, and then turned them WAAAY down in the recording process anyway, burying the bass in the entire album. The Black album was the last trace of any good musical ability metallica had without Cliff; fitting, in that it was meant as a tribute to him....
Trujillo is still the sh**, but even he couldnt drag Lars, Kirk and Hetfield out of the pit they've dug for themselves.
Now Playing: Mastodon- Crack the Skye (new album is awesome, and I'm not even a big mastodon fan.)

^lol, that may be the most briliant wording of anything I've heard in a while.
Hmmm..it's just taken me awhile to get used to mastodon, I guess. Which is weird, seeing as it's me, with my love for epic prog-metal and whatnot, so it should have been an instant click Right? I dont know why i havent started warming up to them till now. I intitialy hated everythign else I hear dby them, then heard "March of the Fire Ants", got hooked, then gave Blood and thunder another try. The new album though, has completely thrown me for a loop. The part of me that was digging the weird heaviness of the band from their other songs is a bit dissapointed, but then the part of me that loves Tool and Isis LOVES what I'm hearing now.
So in truth, I havent been a fan of the band until they were almost not metal anymore lol
i do still think there's room fo rhte rest of their discography to grow on me though, so do not despair haha
Now Playing: Mastodon- Divinations

IN: Well... You see, where I come from they pride themselves in certain condiments that the rest of the world stamps a "hot sauce" label on. So naturally, when someone say's they're having "hot sauce" I have to wonder if they're having salsa, taco sauce, chile sauce or something that comes in a taco bell bag when you order something off the 99 cent menu.
194. writes:
IN: The addy that you posted says it's a jalapeno sauce. If you really love the hot stuff, try a sauce that is made with chili tipin. The chili tipin is a tiny little red demon berry that grows down here. It makes the habenjero and jalapeno look like the ameture hour peppers.

I normally run the first quarter mile in about 1:40-1:45, but on the 3rd lap, I slow down a bit. I have to start strong, because If I start at a slower pace and try to pick it up in the end, it doesn't work, and I just screw myself out of a better time. I agree about the feeling better part though.

well the best results you get when you have the same time in all laps , you see then you build up your stamina, and try finishing i mean i know it's hard but it's all in your head , if you decide to push it then you'll find the needed energy, trust me i hate running but there's been a period of time when i had to do it regularly.

DarkA.T.M. Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. You might just think there are no metalheads where you live. Some probably do, but you just don't know it. If you saw me in person you would never guess that I listened to Metal until I wear a band shirt all of a sudden. I'm pretty much on my own here as well though. I just wanna talk about how great it is to people, but no one around me seems very enthusiastic about it. I'm the quiet type at school but Metal burns inside me all the time.
You know what bothers me? I hate it when I ask people what kind of music they listen to and they just say, "I don't know, everything." Either that or if they tell me they like a certain genre, they don't go on to talk about it, like it means nothing. That or what's worse, they reply "I don't really listen to music." I'm just thinking, "What? How do you live?" Lol, guess that's just my way of thinking.

But really, thanks, you have no idea how frustrating it's been for me these past couple rainy days when I've read everything interesting in the house already, and my memory is good enough that reading something more than once in the course of a year is boring and repetitive. I NEED something fresh to read, so I am eternally grateful. lol

The type of people that go into that line of work are people that have not had a decent childhood. Mommy, and Daddy did not love them enough to teach them to respect their bodies. I for one am glad that my parent's love me, and taught me to respect myself. I have had many job offer's from the adult industry, and turned every last one of them down! I was even held hostage (for about 15 to 20 min) by a strip club owner until I threatned to call the police on him.
363. writes:
Actually, with me being an immigrant and all, I've known other immigrant women who got into the whole ordeal because they didn't know what else to do. They may not know English, but sex is a thing that can be understood in any language, so that's why they're kinda prone to that business. It's especially worse when they don't know English and they're trafficked here, because then they're stuck into what to them is an unknown world. Then there's poor women. It can have little to do with self-respect and more to do with survival. But you see, folks like myself and yourself have little excuse because we both know English pretty well, we're not poor, and we're decently edumacated :P
364. writes:
Sorry, but I think that just because someone does not know English they can't make a better life for them self. In all language's one can say "my body is a temple". I also do not think theses "damsal's in distress" are really that powerless to make a better life for themself.
365. writes:
Well, think about it... stripping requires little to no talking... but in almost every other job, there has to be a clear line of communication. Think about it - you just came from, let's say, Iraq, and you're in an entirely English-speaking country with little to no knowledge of the English language. You're not going to get hired in even entry level jobs, because they're going to at least need you to be able to talk to them. Some owners of clubs may purposely get people who know other languages to talk these women into this horrid form of work, but what can you do when you have no money, no food, and maybe 2 or 3 kids with you? Do you want them to just starve, or would you get the quickest solution? It would take MONTHS for the woman to learn English since it is a more complex language then most of it's native speakers imagine, so the woman has little choice. A lot of women like this come from countries where there isn't good enough education available to them to know about the outside world outside of theirs.
366. writes:
Hehehehe! Kali changed her Avatiar. >:D
Inferno, I don't give much excuses for weakness. I think those women have (pun intended) made their own bed, and must lie in it. I have known many women who are truly strong who did not need to use their loin's to get what they want.
369. writes:
Well, what would you do in that situation I just mentioned? For that reason I gave above, I don't judge strippers or most people in the whole sex trade, but I don't really care much for 'em. It's hard to properly analyze a situation in which one has not been in or when one does not know the person personally, so I choose not to analyze it much at all - and I'm an analytical a$$hole, lol. It's too case-by-case for me to have a general opinion on it, because there's too many shades of grey here. As an immigrant and as someone who used to be pretty poor, I sympathize with some of these women, but on the other end, there are some women who are in the situation where they could do something else.
370. writes:
Well, I am not the type to just go the easy route just because it's easy. Granted that band from Iraq that just moved to America were men, they also did not go into the sex trade just to get over here. I don't believe that those women are stupid, too. I believe they know full well what they are getting into. The ONLY expecption I have is when it comes to people taking advantage of kid's.
371. writes:
Well, the difference is that that band knew English. They did not need to go into that trade. Men aren't used nearly as much as women for the sex trade, either, so there'd be less people wanting them. I'm talking about women who know next to nothing about English... and let's not forget, the band had plenty of support from people from the outside. Do you think a random woman who no one knows about would get the same support?
373. writes:
There is this thing called "English class" We offer it in America, and they can laern the language while they work on becomming a citizen. We nalso have translator's that can help them out. My brother in law's Mother is a translator. Still not seeing any viable excuse for women to go into the sex trade to move.
375. writes:
With the lack of any good former education, they may not even know that these things exist. And how would most people be able to tell them that these things exist if they can barely communicate to people in this new world which they now reside in? I personally just don't think it is our place to judge them.
