New Jersey based metal band God Forbid has entered the Billboard albums chart with their highest entry yet. Their new album, "Earthsblood" entered the charts at number #110 after selling over 5,000 copies in it's first week.

Guitarist Doc Coyle has also checked in with the following update: “Hello everyone. I'm proud to announce that our new album Earthsblood charted even higher than our previous album, which is amazing in this day and age of downloads. Thanks to everyone who went out and picked it up. It means a lot to the guys in the band. Right now, we're in the midst of a European Tour with our bros in ILL NINO. The tour is actually going very well. The clubs are packed, and we're having a great time with Ill Nino. They are great friends, and it feels wonderful to be around familar faces in a foreign land. Europe seems to get a little better each time we come back. A few more fans show up each time with more enthusiasm, and we are certainly determined to make it over here. I can't wait to come back for festival season in June.

“When we get back to the states, we only have a few days off before we have to do a few warm up shows that lead into the No Fear Energy tour with LAMB OF GOD, AS I LAY DYING, CHILDREN OF BODOM and MUNICIPAL WASTE. Congrats to our friends in LOG for debuting at #2 on the Billboard chart, showcasing that metal is alive and strong in a big way. I expect these sentiments to continue on the tour. This tour is going to be fucking EPIC! I have a feeling people will be talking about these shows for years! This tour is going to be a huge launching pad for this new album. We will be signing cd's at merch on this tour, so be sure to come by and say hello. We haven't locked down the set list 100%, but we only have 25 minutes, so that's around 5 songs. Expect a couple new songs, a few fan favorites, and maybe a wild card in the mix. Can't wait to get back home, and rock for you people. It's gonna be a rager! Peace."

It's sad that 5,000 albums sold gets you onto the Billboard charts nowadays. Eh, whatever. At least they'll gain some kind of recognition from this.

They're only gona be able to play 5 songs? Wtf. That sucks. Must be because of as i lay dying, children of bodom and lamb of god being more popular and getting like hour long sets or somethin. Is municipal waste only getting 25 minutes also? Thats a big reason i was going to this concert is to see municipal waste.

GF is one of the reasons i would go to this show, so i won't. if it had been say LoG, CoB, and GF w/ some openers that'd be different. basically i'm looking for a longer set.

I hate when bands play five or six songs a set, you just start getting into the music and is another 30 min set change time, start the show earlier, or sign less bands to your bill to fit your time frame. I was at the In Flames, Gojira, 36 Crazyfists show in Milwaukee and Gojira took All That Remains (Who had to Drop Out) Set Time and seeing Gojira play for a full hour and 15 mins was great. I also saw Amon Amarth play 5 songs at Sounds of the Underground 07, i really didn't like that because i really looked forward to seeing them all summer and they only for a 25min set.
