well axl can say what he wants to say but if slash were not in gnr during the early years there wouldnt be a gnr period....just look at that circus band axl has now and does it compare? hell no.. and never will. slash,duff,izzy and steven made gnr and without them there wont be any gnr..axl you need to wake up and quit dreaming about your band as you call it now...my 7 year old son can outplay that sh** team you got now..and guess who his idol is? I was at Best Buy today to buy a few new cds today. I found Appetite on record (which I didn't know they were reissuing on record) but I turned to my girlfriend who is a huge Guns fan (original line up era much like the rest of us) and asked if she wanted it. She say's "I would never give money to Axl that he would use to record another sh**ty record or sew his old bandmates". f***! I love that woman.

I have to recognise that now Axl isn´t as he was in the 80´s or 90´at least, but we can´t just forget what he was in his "golden" ages, he was a star, a legend, and stars or legends NEVER dieds. He will eternaly be the best leader band and we have to be thankfull because of the legacy of rock he gave to us.

Axl has shown time and time again that he "does not play well with others". That is the antithesis of a good band leader. He is the only original member as he was unable to find anyway to curb his ego and get along with the rest of his band. Again, not a good a band leader. If people like "The Axl Rose Project", fine and dandy, but let's keep the dude in perspective. Minimal and petty as it may be.

Buckethead is the best guitar player the world has seen. He played on Chinese Democracy. Bumblefoot, also plays on it. Those guys could both outplay Slash any day. I don't know why Rosekept that name. It is the Axl Rose band now. However, Chinese Democracy is still a solid rock album.

I've said it before, Slash is OK. He's fun sometimes to add to your album, add some spice to it, at least as far as rock goes. Even then, Joe Satriani sh**s all over him anyway. And Yngwie Malmsteen. and Jimmy Page. and that's just rock music. Once you step into the vast pool of awesome metal guitarists, you might as well turn off you computer and never check back on this thread, because that list would be large enough to crash your hard drive.

Just because someone hates this sh**storm of a band, does not mean they listen to britney spears. In fact, considering Axl Rose is pretty close to being th Britney spears of metal, I would say it means the complete opposite.
And btw, I DID listen to the whole album. That's why I hate it so much. :)
