I might not be a fan of all of these bands but hey, at least they can still get together and do what they love. Live music for me is never really a bad thing no matter what the style. I've seen some older, supposedly washed up acts and had a blast drinking and partying listening to live music. Great White, Morris Day and the Time, it's all in fun, so why not?
Dee is the man, though. He has no illusions about being a 50 something rocker, he just doesn't care. It's all about doing what you love. Rock isn't just a young man's game anymore. And for those who disagree you might want to check the ages of the guys in Slayer, Testament, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, the list goes on. And those are just the thrash bands.

The joy is that if you don't like it, you don't have to go. I don't care what other people think. WTF has his day coming too. Unless they plan to stop listening to metal once they hit a certain age, in which case, it could be said they weren't ever much of a fan at all.
I'm going and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it. Even when the bands I don't care much for are on stage. I don't always like everyone that shows up at a party but I'm still going to the party!

Is this "50 year old metal artists" day or what?
