Rush Denies Concept Album Rumours

Canadian rock legends Rush has denied the rumours that their next studio album will be another concept album along the lines of their classic "2112." Bassist/vocalist Geddy Lee says: "We haven't even discussed our next work yet. Right now we’re all taking a well-needed break. We’re pooped and we’re not spring chickens anymore, so we do need that break."

I can't wait for the next Rush album. Snakes & Arrows was awesome.

The next Rush album won't be a concept album? Well, that sucks.

Well I dunno, it could be another concept album, it just won't be along the lines of "2112." These guys are fantastic, they deserve the break.

I don't think it really matters if it's a concept album or not. Rush are a great band and if the new album is as good as Snakes & Arrows then it'll be well worth picking up.

To post #2 (Big Dave):
I don't think it really sucks that much that it won't be a concept album. There are some albums that aren't considered concept and it doesn't bother me.

As a group, most talented (and influential) trio of all time. Until they get in, I won't even think of visiting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. An absolute joke.

Although I would love to see a concept album from these guys, I'm just glad to see them still making music and will welcome any release. I was introduced to them through their early conceptual music and love it to this day. Also agreed on the Rn'R Hall of Fame comment above. It is a travesty that Rush has not been inducted.
