Cattle Decapitation Seeks Normal People For Upcoming Video
San Diego band Cattle Decapitation is looking for volunteers for the recording of a video for the track "Regret & the Grave." The band has issued the following statement:
We will be filming the rest of the video (this is the storyline part) in the Burbank/northern Los Angeles area and we can use the following REGULAR, everyday, "normal looking folks":
MOMS
DADS
KIDS
OLD PEOPLE
TEENS...
...of all races, colors, basically as long as you are walking upright and speak a language understood by other same species on earth, we may be able to use you as an extra in our video. BUT, THIS PART IS VERY IMPORTANT SO PLEASE READ:
Unfortunately, we cannot really use folks that look too "metal", "punk", "crusty", "goth", "scene kids", etc... BUT, if you match that description and have very "normal, everyday" kind of friends or family, then we can definitely consider that.
The reason we have those stipulations is because we are basically in a way going to recreate what is going on in the image on the cover of our upcoming album, "The Harvest Floor" and that is why we need an eclectic mix of people, not just a bunch of metal and punk kids. Check our page if you haven't seen the cover yet!
NO, THERE IS NO MONEY INVOLVED!!! YES, WE'RE ASKING FOR YOUR FREE TIME!!!
We need roughly 10 people and there will be a meeting location where we meet and then proceed to the filming location. You will be responsible for your own transportation.
Again, we're looking for normal, everyday people. Do not be offended if we say no!
Use this email address to reply and we may or may not get back to you:

I completely understand what they're going for; I can see it! It's kinda like getting anyone you see off the street and putting them in front of a camera, right? Although I'm a bit concerned as to how they're going to get 'everyday looking' , non-metal, non-scene people to want to do a Metal video. Hopefully it will work out. Lots of videos that I look forward to disappoint me a bit. Can't wait to see it. *crosses fingers*

The only giveaways that I'm into metal are my long hair, and I guess the now only two metal t-shirts I wear: Pantera and Lamb of God. Unless you count my three jimi hendrix t-shirts lol
Other than that, I'm pretty easily able to mingle in any crowd. I wear everything from trip pants and Tupac shirts to button polo's and jeans from the GAP. As long as I like the way i look in something, I'm fine. Facial hair comes and goes depending on my mood that day. To shave or not to shave...that is the dilema.
Regardless, the point is moot anyway, because I'm not traveling to bum-f*** nowhere to shoot a vid for a band I just started listening to during my grindcore phase, and for completely free to boot. no f*** that, I've got sh** to do. lol
and no, terminator does not look like your typical metalhead,... just your typical homosexual...
Now Playing: Carcass- Corporeal Jigsore Quandry

ouch FAN - you eclectic, trend dressing poser :P
i was wondering how long i could go without having to defend my avatar. that pic is me dressing up like a redneck d-bag for halloween at work. there's a lot of inside jokes attached to it....and no none of them are gay, lol.
i usually wear jeans, a t-shirt and my skeletonwitch hoodie.

See... f***_A_Name was obviously referring to how he felt that the sweater was gay, though he never said that. It's one of those things that you just know. But really, trip pants and GAP clothes? I mean come on.... I'm no high-style person, but even I wouldn't shop at the GAP nor wear trip clothes.

lol me and term are pals on here pretty much. I mean, I call blindgreed a douche-fag every other day.
and lol the gap jeans I refer to were bought for me from a very ignorant relative during a christmas past. The point is, i wear pretty much anything as long as it's gender appropriate...unlike that yellow sweater....
Generally, i only wear my tripp pants when I wear my Pac or Biggie shirts, just to throw people off a bit. Or whenever I go to a black metal concert (pauses for laughter, oh there is no laughter? damnit)
Now playing: Genghis Tron- Arms

I guess if you call long hair and a beard idiotic.
I grew up around many people who dress in what people might call "biker style" so it never seemed strange to me. As I grew, yes, I understood how people dressed differently. But what constitutes weird to some might not be the same for me. As a kid I just accepted that people dressed how they liked to dress and to judge on such a petty detail was wrong. I think all of us here understand what they mean, but I also don't think they mean to demean or insult anyone. It's just the image they need for a video.

Is there such a thing as "normal people" anymore?
