Movie To Be Made About AC/DC Singer Bon Scott

Filmmaker Eddie Martin has confirmed that he is working on a movie about the life of deceased AC/DC frontman, Bon Scott. He states: "We’ve been working heavily on it for a couple of months. It’s early days. We are in the writing process. We’ve been meeting with Gaby, Mary, Irene and The Valentines crew, people like Vince Lovegrove, Bon’s early friends." (Irene was Bon’s former wife).

Eddie says he is still looking for people from the era who knew Bon. “It is at research stage,” he says.

Apparantly they are still looking for people to play the legendary frontman but the role of lead guitarist Angus Young looks like it will be going to actor Tom Budge who has appeared in the likes of Three Dollars, Australian Rules and The Night We Called It A Day.

At least the film maker seems genuine about it. Bon Scott was f***ing awesome but I'm not sure why someone would think to make a movie about him. Other than he was f***ing awesome I suppose.

Yea, Bon was the singer that got me into AC/DC and rock especially. I still prefer Bon Scott era AC/DC than Brian Johnson. Like Kali said, I doubt the man would approve of this nonsense AC/DC has been up to. He was hardcore before it was hardcore.

That to me, is fantastic news.

I love the Brian Johnson era, if it wasnt for Brian Johnson being so good, AC/DC would never have been where they are today. It was the comeback that gave the attention they needed.

If it wasnt for Brian, AC/DC would have died along with Bon

Having said that, as good as Brian is, f*** me Bon was a world class singer, he got the image, the lyrics and the attitude right!

R.I.P my fellow Scotsman ;)

There is alot of credit that needs to go to Brian Johnson.....
But when it comes down to whats best...?? The Bon era AC/DC will always be my favorite..!!

Oz says -
"I'm not sure why someone would think to make a movie about him. Other than he was f***ing awesome I suppose." --- EXACTLY..!!

I could see Downey JR playing Scott funnily enough. I doubt they cold f*** up more than the Iggy Pop movie they were going to make starring Elijah Wood as Iggy. Thank Christ I haven't heard anything about that in three years, hopefully that got cancelled.

That's the only reason you still like Max Payne. Don't watch that sh**fest they called a movie, and save yourself your good 'ol childhood memories of an excelent grounbreaking game. Trust me on this. They used "bullet time" twice, and both times it was horrible. there was an entire scene where this girl was walking through his house naked, and you still didnt get to see her tits. That's just offensive to me.

And I have no idea what everyone is talking about; Tropic Thunder was f***in awesome. Tom cruise had the funniest part in the movie hands down.

And on topic...lol: this movie better be excellent, because even being as big of an acd fan as i am, I'm still not too excited to see it, so I can only imagine how this would do in the box office with people who only "kinda" like ACDC, and who have probably only heard "Back in Black" in that stupid phone comercial.

But yea, the entire crowd that goes to see AC/DC movie is going to be preppy fa**ots that don't know anything about rock and wouldn't know what to do with real music.

Ha.. I know this guy who wears AC/DC shirts all the time and I told him about this movie and he looked at me and said "Who's Bon Scott?" I almost p***ed myself. He also thinks AC/DC stands for Anti-Christ Devil Child. I told him if he ever wears another AC/DC shirt I'll punch him. :-)

Ben Scott -- If you're really Bon Scott's son, wow! That's really cool. Either way, welcome to MU.

Now playing: Deicide - "In Hell I Burn"

After checking out your "myspace", I must admit there is a bit of a resemblence to your dad... that sly smile of the "cat that ate the canary" is unmistakable..!!
