Stone Sour Issues Update on Recording Plans

Stone Sour guitarist Josh Rand has issued the following update:

"Our tentative plan is to start rehearsals for the new album in the fall of 2009, hit the studio at the beginning of 2010, and release around summer time. I have to say that all of us are really thrilled about having Roy [Mayorga, drums] in the writing process this time around. I've heard song ideas from everyone, and I have a feeling this could be the most diverse Stone album yet!"

The band is on hold for the time being while members pursue other projects such as Corey Taylor and James Root's Slipknot. The last Stone Sour album, "Come What(ever) May", came out in 2006.
