San Diego, California metalers AS I LAY DYING will be filming a string of dates in November for their first ever DVD to be released in the spring of 2009. The DVD will include live performances, backstage footage, interviews, photos, production videos, and a documentary on the group covering everything from the bands humble beginnings to the their massive success as one of today's leading metal acts. AS I LAY DYING will be playing songs off the album Frail Words Collapse at the show on November 17th in San Marcos, another show on Nov-19 in the So Cal area that will be announced sometime in the next week on the band's site, and their regular live set at The Grove on November 21st.

The Grove show in Anaheim, CA on Friday November 21st will include support from Bring Me the Horizon, Terror, and Born of Osiris. In conjunction with the show at The Grove, AS I LAY DYING and Metal Blade Records will be hosting a contest where fans can enter for a chance to win tickets to the show. Four winners will be randomly selected to receive two spots on AS I LAY DYING's guest list for the show and each winner and their guest (1 guest per winner) will meet members of AS I LAY DYING, receive an autographed copy of An Ocean Between Us on limited edition vinyl, and will be able to select two items (per participant) of in stock items from AS I LAY DYING's merchandise booth at the show.

Tickets for the live DVD shoot at The Grove on November 21st are $22.50 in advance and $25 day of show. So Cal fans can also tune into Indie 103, KCAL, and KCXX's metal shows as each is giving away tickets for the 11/21 show at The Grove.

Here's what AS I LAY DYING frontman Tim Lambesis has to say about the upcoming DVD shoots:
"We couldn't be more excited about this short stretch of shows we have planned in the Southern California area. Playing shows all across Southern California is the perfect framework for our upcoming DVD. We are all proud San Diegans and even more proud of the diehard fans we have extending up the California coast. Each show on this mini tour will be distinctly different so that we capture every side of what As I Lay Dying is all about as well as what we've gone through in the seven and half years of our history. These are shows you won't want to miss.

The yet to be titled DVD is being directed and produced by Denise Korycki, who also produced and directed the Cannibal Corpse DVD Centuries of Torment, so expect this DVD to be packed with amazing live footage, interviews, and much more! The DVD also marks AS I LAY DYING'sfirst release since An Ocean Between Us, which was released August 21st 2007 and entered the Billboard Top 200 Charts at 8 making it the highest rock debut on the chart that week.

AS I LAY DYING live/DVD shoot dates:
