Greek metal band FIREWIND, who is just about to kick off their UK headlining tour next week and then follow it up with an extensive European headlining tour in November, is now premiering an exclusive cover-version of legendary US metallers NEVERMORE (who will release their first-ever DVD / live-album entitled "The Year Of The Voyager" on October 20th). To listen to FIREWIND's version of the song "Believe In Nothing" (the original version appears on NEVERMORE's "Dead Heart In A Dead World" album from 2000) head over to Century Media Europe's MySpace page.

This song is featured on a very special 2CD compilation entitled "Covering 20 Years Of Extremes," which was released on September 15th, 2008 in Europe celebrating Century Media's 20th anniversary. This fan-friendly priced compilation (2 jam-packed CD's for the price of one) contains 32 mostly exclusive recordings where Century Media artists cover songs from other acts within the label's repertoire and the result is a fascinating journey through the label's impressive musical spectrum. In order to share some of these stunning versions with all of you, Century Media will present you one song taken off "Covering 20 Years Of Extremes" rotating each week up to the end of the year every Thursday on www.myspace.com/centurymediaeurope.

Furthermore, FIREWIND is one of the first acts to be confirmed for 2009's edition of the prestigious Rock Hard Festival in Germany. The festival will be held at Gelsenkirchen's "Amphitheater" May 29th – 31st, 2009.

How weird is it that two completely different bands chose the EXACT same song to cover.

All That Remains has a cover of "Believe in Nothing" on their new album.

And now Firewind.

Both bands are awesome

I think I prefer the ATR cover, I could never get into Firewind's vocals.

The vocalists that sang on Firewind's first few albums had a nice edge to them. Especially the one who sang on the "Forged By Fire" album. I'm not too crazy about their current vocalist, though. He is good but just doesn't feel as though he fits the band as well. Their previous vocalists seemed a more comfortable fit to me.
