LMAO, Metallica is the biggest sellout over ever single band out there. Now, remember Napster and thier fued with some game makers. Now come on. If this band was really about music they wouldnt care how people listened to thier words. I myself wont be buying the album, but I'll give it a few listens.

uhhh...they really don't care how people listen to their words. that's why they were so candid in that god awful documentary "some kind of monster"
secondly, I really doubt that Metallica needs to "sell out" being as how they are one of the richest bands out there.
third, if they were not all about the music they would not have spent so long looking for such a good bass player. they also would have just released another st. anger album if they didn't care about the music. they obviously put a lot of hard work and though into the music of this release mroe than anything. the songs are longer, they have a lot more solos, they tried to explore what fueled their previous albums without the use of alcohol.

You have some points #3. But I love the old age Metallica. The Metallica just doesn't suit my ears now days. Many people disagree but i just think they are trying to make music just because, and not because they want to express their thoughts. I love how people love their music, don't get me wrong, but Metallica sounds so different of how I even started liking them.
They don't have that rush or stimulating feel they gave me before.

im glad metallica took the effort to try and be heavy again, but theyre middleaged men who are richer than anybody could possibly imagine, they have no anger or hunger left. But they have nothing to prove bc they have made 4/5 classic albums depending on ur opinion, and while this album is not going to be anywhere near those classics, its a step in the right direction for metallica for them to show that they still got it in a sense, im definitely buying death magnetic.

My least favorite of the 3 full songs so far...although the Studio version sounds better than the live. And, I really enjoy parts of the 2nd half of this song. It's a total combination of AJFA, Black and Load (1 out of 3 aint bad).
Anyways, My Apocolypse kicks ass, and The Day that Never comes is great too.
I can't wait to hear "All nightmare long"...

yeah do have to say 3 right
they put lots of work into it and its not for the money they are loaded
so aboutthe napster thing lars is right about napster thjey are stealing the money from the hard working music man
dont ge tme wrong now a days new bands get lots of atention with the internet
but hey they worked hard to get a album out and now a download f***er gives it away for free so some bands dont make the money they should get from there album release
so dont down load buy the cd
and a point is as well this is the reason why a concert cost lost of money now a days to see a band so at least they make some money

I've been a Metallica fan for about my whole life and i have to say, im gonna love this album. from how they go from a hard sound and drift into a more melodic tone and then back to hard reminds me of the ...And Justice For All and sort of the Black Album content. cant wait for the new album and hopefully see them on tour!
