Marilyn Manson has announced the addition of Black Light Burns/ex-Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland to his touring and recording band. You can check out the announcement below.
Wes Borland initially found fame as the facepainted guitarist for controversial rap metallers Limp Bizkit but left after the bands smash hit album, "Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavoured Water," though rejoined the band to record 2006's "The Unquestionable Truth- Part 1." He has since left the band again and is said to be on bad terms with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst.

In my opinion all the musicians in Limp Bizkit were very talented. Wes is certainly an underrated guitarist and LB's bassist and drummer (Sam Rivers and John Otto respectively) were a tight rhytmn section with some great work produced. Plus DJ Lethal is one of the finest in his field as evidenced by his work with other projects such as La Coka Nostra and House Of Pain. Then again I'm a Limp Bizkit fan so maybe I'm being a little bias lol.

Nah, Sam Rivers could write some good basslines, and John Otto was actually a trained jazz drummer if I recall correctly. They all sold their souls for rock n' roll. I can't help liking them, it makes me think of when I was 10-13 and I loved them. Durst is a joke, but damn, they could groove!

First twiggy rejoins them, now wes is joining them. I think manson may be returning to form with his next record, cause eat me drink was the worst album of mansons career. I think this is a big plus for manson. My only concern is what happens to black light burns. I hope that band does not go away cause they are awesome. Hopefully manson will become good again.

isn't the entire world on bad terms with that cumstain?
john 5 was a rad guitarist, have you heard his solo album? sure it gets boring after a while cos every track is just him with some session band in the background, and no vocals...but he's still pretty awesome. thats not to say that borland isnt talented cos to be honest i've not listened to LB in ooohhh...about ten years? he'll be chewed up and spat out by manson i thinks...

I am intruiged by this news, and also upset at the fact that it seems I and a group of my friends are the only people who liked the manson/tim skold pairing on “eat me/ Drink me.” I consider myself a fan of all manson and most rock for that matter, but I think EMDM was great because it was a departure from manson’s other albums. I think when an artist does something new he’s criticized, but if he records something too similar to his other albums the music is blasted for its lack of creativity and growth. Eat me drink me had amazing guitar work if nothing else, especially the guitar solos.

i totally agree with you tool fan. there's no way recording artists can win these days. they get blasted if they try something new, they get blasted if they remain the way they were when they started. except for bullsh** like justin timberlake who does the same sh** again and again and again...and again, just cos he thinks he can dance like michael jackson.and the public eats it up "more justin, give us more of the same stupid sh**". any pop star can get away with it, but as soon as it's a recording artist that does something that's not mainstream pop, they get chewed up and spat out for not being original.
there's no originality anymore...everything is a rip-off of something else...i guess
