I think its a much better album than their previous effort.
Acendancy got me into Trivium.
The Crusade was a big pile of sh** - very disappointing
Judging from the two tracks I've heard from "Shogun"
they seem to have focused on their own sound rather than ripping
off metallica styled vocals and disgracefully playing dean guitars
in honor of Dimebag. But I respect that they do it out of the utmost
repspect for metal legends.

sounds pretty good to me. i got really into trivium then they brought out the crusade and all i could hear when heafy sang on that album was "hetfield hetfield het...hetfield?" although i must say travis smith is infinitely better than lars ulrich. and from interviews ive read with him, he is nowhere near as full of himself. this album should be good.

^y'know Lars is an art collector now? What a pompous ass!

I actually don't mind this song so much. I've been waiting for trivium to find their own sound for a while now; they're too talented to stay metallica ripoffs. Still, I don't think this album is gonna be it though, I still hear a little hero-worship in this song, but much improved nonetheless; I might just pick this album up if I've got a little extra cash and the cd sounds more of the same that this song puts out.

haha yeah remember in some kind of monster, he sells off a whole lot of paintings. i can just imagine what was going through his mind the day he decided to sell them...

"i don't have enough money, so i'm gonna sell all these paintings and make more money, then be a hypocrite by getting drunk at the show, even though i look down upon james for having a drinking problem...man i need money, millions and millions isn't enough, i need millions and millions AND millions" ...or something along those lines...
