Lamb Of God have entered the Billboard Video Music DVD charts at number two, beaten to the top spot by John Mayer.
The DVD was certified gold in its first week of release, after selling 13,000 copies.
Drummer Chris Adler commented on the initial success of the double DVD: “We are incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated fans and friends across the world. This incredible achievement is a very proud moment for all of us. Our journey over the past 2 years has been nothing short of amazing, and we thank you all for joining us.”

I've been listening to them since New American Gospel and am a big fan. While people complain of their changes, I'm glad they've changed it up every album. I've never gotten bored of them and I've never seen them not put on a great live show (and I've seen them 7 or 8 times since they are fairly local to the DC area.)
I can understand being tired of hearing about bands you're not a fan of, and that's probably where the "overrated" perception comes from. Any band with many vocal supporters could be called overrated by the non-fan. Perhaps they've been overhyped by the media (JFAC comes to mind as I type that) as well. But I tend to think LOG kicks a$$ and sets the bar pretty high, so it's hard to imagine they're overrated. Just my 2¢.

you know whats overrated? reading articles on bands you don't like. Then after reading it, leaving retarded comments while knowing that the people you are writing to don't actually give a f*** about your opinion.
How have you made it this far though life heavy hepp? surely natural selection would have got you by now.

This bridge was burnt before you could cross,
you reap the benefits of what's lost.
Go home son, hang your costume up,
a goddamn insult to the rest of us.
A thousand-yard stare across the south,
a full belly and a lying mouth.
Momma's boy plays heretic.
The real thing would kill you quick.
There's nothing for you to fight against,
you're so unreal it's evident.
You'll never be one of our kind,
this ain't yours, f*** you don't try
hmm the lyrics kinda sum you up i recon that goes out to fags like yourself,
if its overrated reading articles on bands you diss like, then... why did you read it,? is your life that boring that you have nothing else to do but controdict yourself,? i mean who are you hittler or somthing

I believe dirty sanchez was referring to heavy hepp when he was posting his rhetorical question, rather than knocking LOG. So he was in a way agreeing with your post.
I like these guys and I don't. Some of their stuff is so damn good that it ruins the rest of the album because I never give it a chance. Some of their stuff is real hit or miss.
I would tend to agree with db in that they are one band that will continue to change their formula.
There's a big saying in the business world, "what got you here, won't get you there" and I like that they are never comfortable with a formula. Its refreshing to know that I will be surprised when I listen to a new LOG album versus plugging in an In Flames album, (and I'm a fan).

I think what makes LoG so popular is that the music they make draws along that fine line between catchy and complex. Laid to Rest is a song I can practically hum to at work, but have you ever tried to actually play it? Not the easiest song to learn on the guitar. The band is easily accesable for the burgeoning(spelling?) Metal fan, yet still not something to be embarassed about listening to when you're favorite bands are Nile and Meshuggah.
I got into them around the time Sacrament came out, and am just now starting to enjoy New AG. I personally believe Ashes of The Wake was not only their best work, but also one of the best Metal albums of this decade, so, you could say I'm a bit of a fan lol. On Sacrament though, I enjoy every song on it, beginning to end; in fact, the songs I disliked when I first bought the cd are now my favorites off of it! Foot to the throat and Walk with me in hell I initially hated, but they grew on me, and now I can barely stand "This IS A MOTHER-FVCKING INVITATION" anymore hah. I am personally excited to see what kindof new music they can pull out of their asses for the new CD, these guys are one of the few bands where I have all of their songs, but It's not enough.

eh. i have all their cds(also that one burn the priest cd)but i dont know, looking back on my first introduction to the metal genre i listened to slipknot, shadows fall, and lamb of god(ironic that they all toured together?). I've developed my tastes as a metalhead and i just, no longer appreciate them. As somone else said, its hard to appreciate some bands when you love black and death metal more than life itself.
Make no mistake i am no arrogent blackmetal fan who only listens to trve music. I can listen to Hypocrisy or dark funeral and still appreciate metallica, ozzy, and sabbath. Maybe i dont like these mainstream bands because mtv and hbb is constantly shoving them in my face. I watch hbb maybe once or even never a month. They just dont play anything i like.

well first off, i couldn't agree with f***_A_Name more. I too found that the songs a initially didn't like on the album grew on me and became my favorites, whereas my initial favorites I can barely stand to listen to now. Although I do like As The Palaces Burn, and Sacrament, I believe that Ashes Of The Wake is their best album. I have been a die-hard Lamb of God fan for a while now, and they are definitely my favorite band. I can't wait to receive the DVD i ordered two days ago in the mail.
On a different note, I am soooo sick of coming onto a strand that is titled "Lamb Of God Enters Billboard Video Music DVD Charts" and reading a comment that belongs on a strand titled "Everyone Who Hates Lamb of God, Please Post Your Degrading Comments Here!!!!". If you don't like the band, then don't bother leaving your comment for all of the Lamb of God fans to have to read. God it's people that post those comments that comprise the brain dead fan base's of bands we all have come to realize have absolutely no talent whatsoever.

To minimize comment spam/abuse, you cannot post comments on articles over a month old.
