Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello is readying the release of his next solo album, "The Fabled City," due Sept. 30 via Epic.
The album is the follow-up to 2007's "One Man Revolution," which Morello released under the name The Nightwatchman. He is now billed at Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman.
"My goal was to capture the energy and emotion of The Nightwatchman live shows," he says. "There is a much more rocking quality to this record, solos and riffs, mixed with darker acoustic songs."
Here is the track list for "The Fabled City":
The Fabled City
Whatever It Takes
The King of Hell
Night Falls
The Lights Are on in Spidertown
Midnight in the City of Destruction
Saint Isabelle
Lazarus on Down" (featuring Serj Tankian)
Gone Like Rain
The Iron Wheel (featuring Shooter Jennings)

I once read an interview where he said, "Good songs make you want to make out with your girl, great songs make you want to flip cop cars and riot in the suburbs. I'm only interested in writing great songs"
So I guess that's why you did Audioslave and The Nightwatchman ey sellout?
6. writes:
No he's not a sell out, he simply does what he likes, if you happen to not think like him then fine you wont like his stuff but i dont think he ever sold out of his ideas. Plus this is a guy who likes metal and hard rock and stuff but some genres you might dislike like straight funk.

Key word: "WAS". There's a difference between changing as a human being and "selling out". His solo material is just as political as anything RATM ever did, and it's not like he's selling a million records as The Nightwatchman anyway. Whether or not you think Audioslave or his solo stuff is sh** musically is completely understandable (although I enjoy both), but I don't think sellout is an appropriate term to use in this case.
