New Slipknot Masks To Be Revealed On July 1

Band Photo: Slipknot (?)
On July 1, Slipknot will unveil its new imagery in an exclusive partnership with AOL Music. This highly anticipated debut kicks-starts the launch of Slipknot’s new album, "All Hope Is Gone," which is set for release on Roadrunner Records on August 26th. Masks are an integral part of the band’s identity and to reflect this point, AOL Music’s Spinner.com will host a retrospective photo gallery of Slipknot masks throughout their career, spanning all three previous albums and including the most recent controversial "Purgatory Masks." The Slipknot mask unveiling will be featured on the main page of Spinner.com worldwide for 24 hours.

random-ass-mofo et al you're posing as: yes, 1) this is called spam and will get it deleted and you banned if you keep it up. 2) by clicking the IP Logged link, it will highlight every comment from the same IP address, which points out imposters like yourself pretty easily. It's just not working at the moment (since I redesigned the site), but will be back very soon.

Since they are all about the money...I bet their masks/jumpsuits are going to start looking like Nascar stuff. All covered in advertisements, sponsors going crazy trying to squeeze their logos in there. I can just picture Corey up there with a huge Old Spice logo or somethin'
p.s. - to all the little girls who are going to whine here I will do it for you...
All I ever do is f***ing b****! If I don't like Slipknot, why waste my stupid time on the forum posting about it. Im a f***ing girl and Im f***ing gay and emo and all of the worst stuff rolled into one. Im a piece of bloody period sex sh**.
There, now everyones happy! :)

slipknot f***ing suck. All they are is a bunch of untalanted mediocre rejects of society in halloween costumes banging on kegs and spinning turntables. what a joke

yeah slipknot is gay, my friends dad saw them live when they first came out when they opened for Kitty.... KITTY for Christs sake!!!!! (the only reason he went cause he got the tickets for free) he described them as "a bunch of screaming retards talking about their d***s" and that sounds about right. and if theres any c*** sucker that will say that im wrong and that slipknot is an awesome band well just think of this.... they were almost written off for a reason....... a reason that is very obvious to someone whos not a retard

whoa. all i can say, i like slipknot. im NOT emo, but i am a chick. i hate it when people judge people they don't know. only thing you're doing is making yourself look stupid, because your being judgemental. i don't care that you're calling it like your seeing it, you are afterall entiled to your opinion, but you probley shouldn't have put that whole bit about 'All I ever do is f***ing b****! If I don't like Slipknot, why waste my stupid time on the forum posting about it. Im a f***ing girl and Im f***ing gay and emo and all of the worst stuff rolled into one. Sounds like your little prissy a ss needs to go back to school. In one of my earlier posts on Slipknot, I explain in specific detail why Slipknot is a band that cannot generate respect. They are puppets of an industry driven by money. I am an immense fan of heavy music, as it is my day job. I will defend it to the furthest extent.

Well Jamez, I have never driven by this "mone" you mention, so I can't relate.
I can listen to Slipknot without hiding. As far as hiding in the closet, I actually hide in the closet listening to Neil Diamond while wearing womens clothing and spreading ben gay all over my nuts.
That sUcKs ThOUgh SkYBurNer, after reading your post I realized...I am missing out. You are completely right. I never thought it would take one tiny little post on a metal forum to change my whole 20 year history listening and loving heavy music, but it did.
I feel so alive now!

first i dont like slipknot i used to and i was curious about there masks (thus why i am here)
and second they may be sell outs but they are talented well three of them are
and they introduced alot of people into metal
i started listining to them in the early 2000s and now im into alot more heavier sh**
so why not have a band that teaches young people to love metals

Ya know, a lot of people only say 3 of them are talented but there's actually more than that. Anyone heard the song with John 5 ft. Jim Root? Damn good song, and Corey is a good singer. I've heard some of Mick's shredding stuff and he's a pretty good guitarist as well. Joey is a great drummer, lacking a little rhythm sometimes, and a decent guitarist. Clown, as far as a musician, isn't the greatest, but as a producer/director he's pretty good and he's a good welder, he built the percussion kits they use on stage. Voliminal was put together like a piece of art and it kicked ass. Sid Wilson is a damn good DJ, he doesn't get to use his talents as much as he should in SlipKnoT though.
So yeah, they're not all talentless a$$ clowns, they just make the music they want to make. :/

I heard a preview of "Psychosocial" online, and it sounds to me like they need to spend less time cultivating their image and more time trying to write decent music. Their first album was great, but as they became more popular, their sound got weaker and weaker (just like Mudvayne, Korn, Disturbed, Metallica, Cradle Of Filth, and a hundred other once-great bands).

I saw the masks and the only one I like is Joey's. the only reason I even give a damn about the masks now, (never used to, even when I loved their music and downloaded every song I could get my hands on) is because this is *supposedly* their last album, so I think it's not really a big deal if I have a say on how they portray themselves. I just hope they start cursing again, just so that they can get some of the fervor from the first couple albums back. I think Vol.3 lost the edge from their earlier work because of this, so I just want things to get back to how it started. (I doubt they will though, says the rational part of my mind that hates these bastards lol)
