Metallica Fueling The Rumors of All-Metallica Guitar Hero Game

Metallica is fueling the rumors online of and all-Metallica Guitar Hero Game (or at least add-on pack) with the following mysterious post to their MySpace blog entitled "METALLICA GUITAR HERO GAME. . . FACT OR FICTION?":

"An all Metallica Guitar Hero game . . . fact or fiction? Idle internet gossip, wishful thinking, or the real deal? Let's just say that perhaps, just maybe, if you've already mastered "One" on GHIII there might be a pile of 'Tallica songs in your future.

"More details later this summer . . ."

This statement was apparently in response to a feature on Gamespot on June 2, 2008 that stated:

"Guitar Hero: Metallica is no longer a case of wishful thinking or idle speculation–it's fact. When sifting through an SEC filing of Activision's over the weekend, Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Edward Woo–associate of the highly visible Michael Pachter–uncovered a gem in the section where the Santa Monica, California-based publisher discussed its upcoming game slate."

Look, branded, are you a guitar player or not? I am, and I know that the thought of an Aerosmith game was a huge fxcking insult. I've known how to play quite a bit of Metallica's catalog on real guitar for a long time, and I think even though this is obviously a cash in on GH's part AND Metallica's part, at least we can play a GH game that actually features a GH or 2. I'm excited about playing this, actually.

And, of course there's more out there than Metallica, but, hey, people gotta start somewhere, and I think in a time and age where the history of metal is so convoluted and washed over by bands like Disturbed, Every Time I Die, and Korn, people can really get the chance to get where this sh** came from.

I can't understand why anyone on this site wouldn't be geeked about this. Unless you blow at GH.

I blazed through guitar and drums on expert. That is, until I got to Run to the Hills on drums, and Green Grass and High Tides on guitar. I don't know, I played Rock Band until I got bored, and then I went right back to Guitar Hero 2 & 3. I think I have an achievement addiction, though.

sh*t, it took me forever to get used to the drums, the most i can do is medium on that, i fail on hard, much less expert. i can do expert on guitar, but i dont come close to "blazing" through it. the solos are always my weaknesses, especially the ones where you got 10 notes a second.
