Iced Earth Previews Upcoming Single "I Walk Among You" Online

Iced Earth has posted a widget online to preview the four tracks on the upcoming single "I Walk Among You." The widget can be viewed below.

"I Walk Among You" is set for a North American release on June 10th. The next full length album is tentatively set for a Fall 2008 release, and will feature returning vocalist Matt Barlow.

I've always enjoyed the music of Iced Earth over the vocals. Like if every song was an instrumental, I (personally) would enjoy them alot more. Just my opinion though.

Honestly, I just heard the new track...it doesn't sound that much different from the way Ripper Owens would sing it...not that impressed. Barlow has a pretty weak growling voice..hard voice. Barlow is good but Ripper is awesome. My opinion, of course.

To Crawford - you are right...Iced Earth is clearly power metal...so if you don't like that thing..you might not like Iced Earth. They have a lot of concept albums...which tell different stories. Shaffer is a good guitartist, and Barlow is great singing ballads..but his metal moments are few and far between. I got Something Wicked This Way Comes...which is another story metal album. The Spawn-inspired story album was solid as hell.

The song sounds alright, but it seems like schaffer is still writing for the Rippers style of singing, not barlows, so his voice doesnt fit that well with the song

Polish Mike - what i meant was that i'm not going to listen to any songs or samples until i buy the album/single. since this (the album not this single) is one of my more anticipated releases this year, i wait until i buy the album to hear anything from it.

i enjoy good albums even more that way when i dont know what to expect next.
