Papa Roach Announces New Album Title

Papa Roach have changed the title of their new album from "Days Of War, Nights Of Love" to "Metamorphosis". Lead singer Jacoby Shaddix explains:

"The album's titled 'Metamorphosis' and the album is just that," he said. "There's some stuff that's, like, harder and faster on this record that we, you know, have kind of delved away from for a little while. But then also there's, like, a polarity to that. It's like, for us it was just, you know, just kicking down new doors. That's what we do all the time with our music. It's definitely a diverse record, and some of the most powerful music we've written."

The album is expected to be released around late August/ early September and will apparantly feature contributions from Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars.

As much as I quite dislike the new album title and sense the lame-a$$ ring to it when I hear it being announced in some radio stations, I think it does somehow suit the transition that Papa Roach's style have had in recent years. I mean, they've evolved almost drastically from Infest & LHT to GAWM and the whole rock/glam look minus the rock/rap has taken over their sound ever since. But then again, it's JUST an album title. I'm all up for some "diversity"--it's what makes this band so amazing. As long as Papa Roach can maintain the intensity and passion that they once had brought out from their earlier records, I'd be fine with it. But in festivals, definitely BRING THE MADNESS!
