So what the f*** is the difference between Guitar Hero 4 and Rock Band 2? Why even bother giving them different names? They ARE controlled and produced by the same company are they not? So why a distinction; why not just a merging of the franchises?

f*** A Name : Guitar Hero was originally developed by Harmonix, but the publisher Activision switched developers to Neversoft after Guitar Hero 2. Harmonix then went on to make Rock Band to out do their previous efforts and give Activision the finger. There is also the huge difference that Guitar Hero does not include vocals or drums.

The difference b/t GH and Rock band is this:
Guitar Hero features more songs that were selected for their guitar parts where as Rock Band's song selections were picked more for the variety of parts. If GH 4 is including Drums, Bass, and Vocals then it will be another step more towards Rock band but the songs will still probably be more selected for their guitar parts.
Guitar Hero will never not feature "lighter" artists. It has to draw from more than just the metal crowd so it adds Pop rock and hard rock songs as well. I'm sure a purely metal guitar hero isn't out of the question it's just not in the making at the moment.

Linkin Park is awesome but there not as good as Van Halen and Def Leppard, i was just saying it's about time some current bands were on Guitar hero, i mean there has been only a handfull of current bands, like Slipknot, Disturbed and avenged sevenfold. If you diagree with me fine but I think it's about time they were on the game and wait 2 get a copy of the game and hav a kick-ass time with my friends

Okay, Linkin Park would be an ALRIGHT choicem but they need to pick a better song for guitar. On GH3 No More Sorrow was like the easiest song ever! Put like QWERTY or Given Up.
The rest of the bands will be awessome. Eddie Can Halen better be a character. And like someone said, they should get Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Angus Young, and Jimi Hendrix. Nothing against Slash and Tom Morello but those are the real guitar heroes IMO.

Ya i guess there songz aren't that hard to play, but iff they put some of the hard songz they write like Somewhere I Belong maybe it will be better nd don't get me wrong i know there songz aren't nearly as hard as Disturbed or Van Halen songz but u can at least give them the respect of waiting for the game to come out nd seeing if there song suckz or is to easy or somthing because cif u were in a major band that everyone one sayz suckz nd doesn't deserve to be in a game i think u would at least get a little p***ed off, so c'mon juzt giv them a break.

Well thatz how Guitar Hero iz already after a few monthz maybe even weekz u start mastering songz I don't think Linkin Park will be any different but I think all u can do iz keep raising the difficulty level of the songz nd if u don't want to spend 60-80 dollarz on a game with good bandz including Linkin Park, juzt cause it has Linkin park nd u don't like them then get ovr it nd buy the game nd juzt don't play there song when it comes, itz that simple juzt enjoy the game nd the musik

it annoys me when people only know linkin parks soft pop singles they heard on the radio. they have much heavier stuff that wont be heard on the radio. so lady-reaper, they dont come close to fallout boy, but it could be debatable whether or not they are on the same level of sh*ttiness.
mixer2 IMO the stuff on the new album is not as good as hybrid theory or meteora. if i could put a song on there, it would be one step closer.

"StabbingTheDrama" i put z's bcauze i juzt like 2 nd yez it can get annoying but 4 some reason I juzt Keep doing it; also I agree with "LiquidMetal" they hav a bunch uv heavier stuff that doesn't get played on the radio such as Pointz of Authority or Figure.09 or Don't Stay, now thoze would be good songz 2 play especially One Step Closer, and 2 all Linkin Park haterz out there SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!!!!!

HEY! Who the f*** took my name?!?!?!!?!? Post 34!!!!! I don't hink ANY band should have their own guitar hero. Metallica would be the exception to that maybe, since they have a catalogue of songs that are good enough to support that. Van Halen is a great guitar band sure, but they should just have a bunch of songs ON the game, like Iron Maiden do. And Whoever mentioned Metal guitar hero, start emailing the company about it, that's what me and my friend are doing, and maybe, with enough requests for it, it might end up happening. I mean, if Aerosmith gets their own game, then I think the idea of Metal hero is do-able.

HEY f*** A NAME, AWESOME IDEA. SERIOUSLY. I THIINK ITS BRILLANT. BUT IF IT HAPPENS, I DON'T THINK IT WOULD BE THAT GREAT A GAME CONSIDERING METAL FANS CAN'T AGREE ON WHAT'S METAL AND WHAT'S NOT. I MEAN, JUST READ THE POST FROM THIS SITE. WE CAN'T EVEN AGREE ON THE SUBJECT. AND THEN YOU HAVE THE WHOLE MAINSTREAM VS. UNDERGROUND,. ETC. BUT JUST OUT OF CURIOUSITY, WHAT BANDS WOULD EVERYONE LIKE TO SEE ON A METAL HERO GAME?
