Papa Roach Reveal New Album Title

PAPA ROACH has set "Days of War, Nights of Love" as the title of its new album, tentatively due before the end of the year. Jay Baumgardner, veteran producer and head of NRG Studios, has been tapped to produce and mix the CD, which will be recorded later this spring. PAPA ROACH returns to its roots with Baumgardner, and is looking to duplicate the energy brought together for the band's debut album, "Infest", which remains the group's best-selling album to date with nearly 3.5 million copies sold.

PAPA ROACH recently permanently split with longtime drummer Dave Buckner, according to a message posted by frontman Jacoby Shaddix. The singer wrote, "We are going through a lot of changes right now...Change is good — it keeps things fresh. For y'all that don't know, we had to split with Dave, our drummer. It was one of the hardest things we have ever had to do. He's taking this time to get his life together. We are still friends and still talk on a regular basis. The road is a hard place to live, and if you are falling apart, it will destroy you. He will be missed."

Buckner first left the band while on tour last spring, entering rehab to deal with substance abuse issues. He returned over the summer, but exited again later in the year. Shaddix told The Pulse of Radio that going back on tour might not have been the best thing for the drummer. "Really, the road ain't a place to heal, you know what I'm saying?" he said. "It's like, the road is, if you're not healthy, it's not gonna make you any better, you know what I'm saying. And so, for him, he just had to just go step away from it again, you know, so...the show must go on."

UNWRITTEN LAW drummer Tony Palermo filled in for Buckner on tour, but it's not clear if he will become a fulltime member of PAPA ROACH.

Shaddix also indicated in his post that PAPA ROACH will head back to the Paramour Mansion in Los Angeles to begin writing its new album. The group wrote and recorded its last effort, 2006's "The Paramour Sessions", at the same location.

Sounds like a Barry White album title... lets rename this one "Piss Soaked Gym Sock" because that is about where they are heading musically. 3 decent songs on your first album doesn't mean you get a chance at a 3rd, unless you let a real band babysit you while you record... should be a law.

Actually "papa fan" I have listened to every one of their albums and have a personal policy to listen to an album at least 3 times to get an actual feel for it to give an honest opinion. Something tells me you like nothing but radio rock and are one of those people who goto school all "musically fasioned" out (Insert emo insults) trying to prove you are a hardcore rocker/metal head when all actuality you are just another plague to the music scene giving financial backing and emotional support to sh**ty bands. I really wish all you musically closed minded social pariahs would give up or kill yourselves so a new music evolution could begin. And before you try to defend yourself, I enjoy everything from bluegrass to metal to classical to rap.

Bullshxt! I saw Papa Roach on Ozzfest 2001, and the only band that was worse than they were was Crazy Town. He'd sing the first few words of a line, and then he'd go "Uhh, uhh, uhh, yeah!" for the rest of it, like he was trying to be a Beastie Boy, like "Wave yo hands in the ayy-urrr!!" Disturd and Lickin Pork COMBINED didn't even suck that hard that day. And if you are going to try to blame it on their inexperience with touring, their album "gayrapetragedy" was out, so they hardly had an excuse. At least not aside from the one that the suck hard.

Well, defender, I sadly used to listen to nu-rock - err - nu-metal too. Some bands were quite good, and others were just there. Many moons ago, I actually like rap-rock...sad, I know. I think I liked maybe 2 songs from Papa Roach..but damn they suck big time now.

I like papa roach. on ozzfest 2001, they were promoting their first album INFEST. It was good, but fee the band finally made a solid cd with getting away with murder. The last album, i feel, they lost their sound and the album sounds like it was mixed like one of those recent Def Leppard albums and think FOREVER is the only decent song on the disk.

I hope they don't put that raprock all over the new cd, for it's so dated and they can do alot better. we'll see...

Touring with the CRUE? odd...

^THAT bad? I wouldn't go that far. At least papa Roach helped launch some people into Metal. Fans of MCR, on the other hand are still despicable MCR fans to this day, or at least of something equally gay. The furthest I've seen MCR push people into Metal is A7X, and they're little better.

Now Playing: Death Angel- "Thrashers"

I think the record label made Papa Roach be more commercialized. Back then they were ok, now they just suck. I'm sure they would call it "evolving" as musicians, but we know it's not the truth. It's so funny how emo and gay they look now. I hate this band so much.
