Best Of Bruce Dickinson
Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson is getting ready for the release of Catacombs - The Best Of Bruce Dickinson, which is rare, live and unreleased two-CD set celebrating the vocalist's solo career.
Catacombs - The Best Of Bruce Dickinson will start from 1990's Tattooed Millionaire to 1998's The Chemical Wedding and contain two new songs "Silver Wings" and "Broken." The two new tracks were co-penned by Dickinson and producer/guitarist Roy Z. An early quote from the famous singer about the compilation in its formative stages reveals there's going to be plenty for fans to sink their teeth into.
"I'm gonna be digging out some Keith Olsen tracks that people have never heard, I'm gonna be going into all the Chemical wedding and Accident of Birth extra tracks. Plus there's a whole bunch of unreleased stuff that we recorded, me and Roy, during Accident of Birth and The Chemical Wedding that we finished, this track "Wicker man" that we did for Accident of Birth that we never had chance to finish, for example... Those tracks will go on it as well, I may even put the original version of "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter" on it too, so it'll be an interesting record, you know. [...] What I may do is I put it out as just one CD and we'll see what the reaction is because there's enough material for two CDs."
Apparently, Dickinson's version of "Wicker man" has nothing to do with the Iron Maiden cut that re-established Maiden as a significant force in heavy metal.
Catacombs - The Best Of Bruce Dickinson two-CD press will be limited, however, and sell for a single album price. Once initial copies of the limited edition are sold out, the album will only contain tracks from the first disc.
Look for Catacombs - The Best Of Bruce Dickinson on September 21 in Japan and 25 for the rest of the world.
