Nile Post Video Interview Online

Jasmin St. Claire of Metal's Darkside TV conducted an interview with NILE guitarist/vocalist Dallas Toler-Wade and drummer George Kollias during the band's recent tour. Watch the interview at this location (Quicktime required).

NILE's latest album, "Ithyphallic", sold 4,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release back in July 2007 to debut at position No. 162 on The Billboard 200 chart.

In an interview with Metal Maniacs magazine, NILE mainman Karl Sanders explained the choice behind the title for the group's fifth studio album: "'Ithyphallic' refers to the ancient practice of portraying statues of gods with huge, mythically-proportioned erections. It's a sign of strength and fertility. When we were just a demo band, everyone had to have their own little thing that made your band different from the others. So we said, 'Let's call this brutal, ithyphallic metal,' and it just stuck."

"Ithyphallic" was engineered by Bob Moore and produced by Neil Kernon (CANNIBAL CORPSE, NEVERMORE, DEICIDE). The CD was recorded at Sound Lab Studios in Columbia, South Carolina.
