"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Skald Sign With Unexploded Records

Swedish folk metallers SKALD have issued the following update:

"We are proud to say that SKALD has signed a new record deal with Unexploded Records for two full-length albums. Hopefully, this deal will also involve a limited pressing of vinyls and finally, we PROMISE you that t-shirts will be made."

"As you may or may not know, we have already begun our work for our first full-length, which is yet untitled. We will once more venture to Studio Eclipse for the recordings, but this time, we aim for a thicker and more natural sound. Expect our arrival when we have somewhere around 11-13 songs ready. Furthermore, Emil G. Koverot will once again handle the violins."

"So what can I say about the new songs then? Well, they are more structured than before that's for sure. Some are slower, some are faster, some are weirder and some are more straight-forward than earlier. Just make sure you're all prepared for a mixed soup of REAL Nordic folkmetal."
