Hmmm. Beginning of the end. Wacken does well enough without this type of band. When are My Chemical Romance and Aiden going to confirm? Mainstream media bands, sorry.

Why do it feel like Hatebreed and KSE just don't fit in here?

I think the addition of KsE is a good one, I prefer to have a bit of diversity at these festivals, metal has a rich history and I think all aspects of the various subgenres should be represented. Too bad I will not be there, it is shaping up to be a hell of a line up.

lol screamo? I think killswitch is one of the only (or the only) metalcore band who actaully deserve to be on wacken. They are the pioneers of metalcore before all this new trendy metalcore bands showing up, so show em some respect. Even though their new album wasn't that good they should still be respected for their older work. Same with Hatebreed, pioneers of the hardcore genre.

the problem is when pioneers are granted a slot, then other much sh**ter bands from the genre will jump aboard. I have had the misfortune of seeing KSE and hatebreed live and they were both very boring and not deserving of a slot in a major metal festival.

If theres any metalcore band who derserves to be on Wacken its Shadows Fall or Unearth. That is some metalcore I actually like. KSE just sucks, I really don't like them.
