Travis Coleman of SiouxCityJournal.com reports that a teen was tased and arrested after allegedly fighting with officers during the OZZY OSBOURNE concert at Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa Sunday (November 4).

The 16-year-old Sioux City boy was allegedly trying to start a mosh pit near the end of the show when security called Sioux City police to help remove the boy, said Lt. Marti Reilly.

The three police officers tried to take hold of the boy, who was allegedly swinging his arms and being aggressive, Reilly said. After the officers told him to stop resisting and he refused, the boy was tased. One officer was slightly injured, Reilly said.

The boy was charged with misdemeanor counts of interference with official acts, failure to obey a police officer and assault on a police officer.

This brings to mind two things:

"Don't taze me bro!" and none other than Moshzilla.

If you are flailing your arms around, you are probably hardcore dancing. In which case, you need to be tased.

Everyone has the right to mosh at a concert? I hardly think so, given that moshing isn't all that far from assault. I'm pretty sure people don't have a right to commit a crime simply because they are at a concert. It is merely accepted to a degree. f*** "non-rockers" who don't mosh? If you want to mosh, fine. I don't care as long as you aren't getting in my face, but don't insult people who don't want to.

Personally I would rather go and actually watch and listen to a show instead of flailing around in an adrenaline-induced frenzy likely injuring others and myself. I can't understand why people think that is fun or anything of the sort. To each their own, but I'll stay out of the mosh-pit, thanks.

You either get the rules of moshing or you don't - moshing is an agreement like sport, just like rugby or boxing might not be all that far from assault. If you can't handle the heat, don't go into the pit, simple as. There's always plenty of room up the back to watch bands though, nothing wrong with watching! The front is for moshing, it's simple show etiquette.

"Flailing round and round
And you're injury bound
Waltz it up!
The pit is it!
You can take your chance
On this rough new dance
If you dare!
To dive in!
There are some that try
But they won't survive
They don't hit!
'Cause they're wimps!
And this exercise
Helps you brutalize
With us!
Exodus!"

I first read about this on WWW.GLOBALGRIND.COM, and I think that at a concert it's cool to dance around to the music n all that good stuff, but moshing isn't something that is only gonna affect the people involved. Others at the concert nearby may get knocked over, and badly hurt, it's not like that hasn't happened b4. N what an idiot tryin to talk back to the police n act like a fool, of course their gonna get ya a$$ back. At least he was only tased and not beat or shot... probably because it was at a rock concert, not a rap one!
