I am stoked for this new album. Although I don't know if it would be possible to top Kezia, the guitar riffs that you can hear faintly in the background of their studio webisodes sound like their maintaining that off-the-wall, odd-signature writing style. And I am all about that sh**!

Wtf? How is it that BFMV get shot to pieces but this band gets praised? Please don't tell me just because they add random technicality that somehow makes them better. I don't think they're "bad" per say I just f***ing hate this sort of metalcore, it pretty much insults everything I love about metal. The vocals are as emo as they come.
Now Playing: Metallica - "Damage Inc."

thats pretty much the only reason why i think they are better. they have some catchy riffs now and then, more so than i have ever heard from as i lay dying or killswitch engage, or any of those other bands.

They're not trying to portray themselves as a metal band though, or even a metal core band for that matter (Unlike BFMV). Thats the key difference aside from their superior musicianship. And the vocals are clean, not emo. Maiden has clean vocals, but they're not emo are they? Thought not.

Oh no, I would say they definately have emo vocals, not to put them down I just think it's a good description. Clean vocals they may be but it's not exactly d***inson. In fact their clean vocals are pretty instantly recognisable as the trendy sort of singing at the moment, I'd challenge you to find a metal band with similar vocals. Christ, maybe they'd be better if they could hold their instruments still instead of doing the spastic Fall Out Boy routine like in their videos.
Now Playing: Blitzkrieg - "Blitzkrieg"

So the way he sings sounds emo? Thats pretty dumb, there lyrics are no where near emo, Read them up one day, good sh**. Rody is an awesome singer, he can sing clean and do all the screams and sh** like other metal bands do. Their Riffs are insane, I got nothing but respect for these guys.
Im stoked for the new album, I hope it sounds as good as Kezia.
yeeeeeee.

I agree 100% with Cynic, Protest The Hero are really f***ing gay, their singing is so f***in emo, they're so poppy. They truly do embody everything I hate most in metal. They whiny emo singing is unbearable, the screaming is pretty weak too. sh**ty-ass ,very generic btw, screamo-metalcore=BULLsh**!!!!!

lol, i dont know about most of you but i dont listen to protest the hero for the vocals... they could have a damn billy goat chewin on a mic cable for all i care, i just want to hear some crazy original music. Im not taking anything away from BFMV, as a matter of a fact i kinf of like them, but seriously there not even in the same stratosphere with protest the hero. protest the hero could write a song that would be BFMV's new single in 20 minutes, but i'd really like to see BFMV play 45 seconds of any song off of kezia.
they played two new songs when i watched them a couple weeks back, and it just amazes me to see a band thats just as tight live as they are on the cd.

oh yea PS.....
"Bury The Hatchet"
Well place your justice in my palm
and then I'll make a fist
And punch your grimaced face
until every knuckle breaks
And bleeds in resistance to my sidewalk painting
A mangled body twitching and regaining consciousness and closure
Attempting composure before a bullet
in the mouth answers the questions of exposure
And God of Sunday School façades
and paycheques to validate the time I served abroad
(We will say it all means nothing) if I forget why I'm here
To serve and protect my fist over fist
mind under matter career
thats about as emo as it gets, i can totally see your all's point now.

Finally, I have been waiting for this. Was pretty angry when they announced it being pushed back. My buddy is going to sh** himself when I tell him this.
