Nard has a problem with country music? Well, I have a problem with pompous lead singers who sing inaudibly, and with his back to the crowd, at shows and charges a ridiculous amount of money to see a set list that never changes and is mostly boring, ambient noodling. But remember what the reverend said..., "SEND MORE MONEY!" PT Barnum *was* right.

Are you kidding me Val? He's anything but pompous. He's one of a kind because he's in a band like no other. He's just on a totally different level then you know. You've simply got him all wrong. Maynard stays in the back because he wants the show to be about the music, and not some fool banging his head wildly messing up the lyrics and running out of breath. I've seen Tool live, and I can tell you I heard Maynard perfectly, and he never screwed up once. Some songs were actually better live then the studio versions.
Tool isn't just a band to bang your head to, or a band to see where you're gonna go crowd surfing. Tool is an experience, and they're songs have a message beyond "I c** Blood."
And I'm pretty sure from reading that comment that you like country :P

val--maybe you just need to go hump that goat and you'll feel better...people who dont like tool are people that do not understand what tool is about...tool is a band that wants the crowd to feel the music and not act like bafoons in the pits...(im one of those bafoons), but with tool i sit back relax and ""listen to the music""..i feel it...i can relate to lots of it in many different ways...maybe you are just a whiny a$$ who expects too much from everybody....
