Dino Cazares Claims Fear Factory Missing Passion

MTV.com reports that former FEAR FACTORY guitarist Dino Cazares' new band DIVINE HERESY has only played a few live shows together but plans to kick off its first tour this month in Mexico. After that, DIVINE HERESY will head out with STATIC-X and SHADOWS FALL for a tour that runs through much of the fall and early winter. Then they'll join CHIMAIRA on the road for a trek that will keep them busy until Christmas. In early 2008, the band will head back out on the road, but the guitarist didn't reveal with whom. Cazares said the band does plan on playing some FEAR FACTORY material during its sets — even though he has no love for his former band.
"In the long run, I believe I came out the winner, and I feel that they have bastardized the name, and it's a completely different band, different style," he said of the group, which is carrying on despite Cazares' departure in 2002. "I definitely carried the passion in that band, and my riffs, my style, they were very distinctive. I don't regret anything I created in FEAR FACTORY whatsoever. It will be part of my memory for the rest of my life. I believe I am continuing the legacy and keeping this metal torch alive and bringing it back with DIVINE HERESY. You can feel the hunger and passion in DIVINE HERESY, which I believe FEAR FACTORY has been missing, and is still missing to this day.
"DIVINE HERESY will be a band that will develop into something even greater, the more input these guys have and the more we all start playing together, and the more we get out on the road, living it, breathing for it," he continued. "I think the sophomore LP will be something massive."

May be slightly true but nonetheless fear factory is f***in' awesome, although not always consistent, the net gain of good tracks is well worth it... and transgression in my opinion was one of their most consistent album yet. I mean dino just because its not death metal doesnt mean they suck anymore.

I think Christian plays circles around Dino. Try watching the new Devine video. In his solo, he isn't even playing. It got left out.
Did anyone in the band even watch the video before production? I was embarrassed for them and I know the guys from FF were laughing their asses off when they seen it. The drummer does seem to have some talent. I've seen FF twice and they sucked once cause they were sick. Other time they ruled...

Dino can run is mouth if he wants to. The last band he had, the maxican sh** (assessino or something) was so generic and awfull. I don't really think he should talk. I think he is just frustrated because Fear Factory are still around and they are doing just fine without that fat bastard...so shut up fat cow and just play.

AWWW... look at dino still b****ing about fear factory. This guy needs to stop b****ing and moaning and grow up all ready. I heard the divine heresy song and it didnt really do anything to impress me. Its ok but I dont see them doing anything like fear factory in the future, much less get to their status. The last two fear factory albums were awesome, so I think they are ok without dino. Thats y dino is probably p***ed cause tgey moved on without him. Oh well, Long live the machine that is Fear Factory!!!!!

Maybe so behemoth but they also showed that they could write and have success without him as well. Dino Cazares is a generic guitar player with no real skills wathsoever, except playing fast and heavy. So it means that anybody can pick up from where he left and the guys in F.F are showing that right now, wich seems to frustrate him a lot. so he is a fat douche and not that great...but yeah there are still some tracks from earlier F.F stuff that i like but i like a lot of the new stuff and I am not missing him that much.

I agree that the earlier fear factory stuff is better than the new stuff. However they have proven they can still kick a$$ without dino. I'm not taking anything away from dino or what he has done with fear factory. However they are doing fine without him. And to phil, im not a 12 year old im 24 and ive been listening to metal since 1998 and i have enough knowledge and know enough history about it.

I am glad that everybody is adopting the fat cow insult. I loved it when I wrote it and it's even better when you use it.
To Phil, I am 30 years old and started listening to metal around 1986-1987. So I too have been around for long and I am a guitar player so I can honestly say that Dino is a fat cow and not that good of a guitar player. As far as I can tell, he's the one who didn't do really well since 2002.
And Tempter805, good point.

If the new album of fear factory return like demanufacture, divine heresy will not kill fear factory but if they return with that crap transgression, divne heresy will kill fear factory.remember divine heresy is a very talent band.with the years passing this band will crush, give them a chance to grow up,i believe in this band.dino will put this band to the old days of fear factory.

12 yr olds? well last time i checked, I was 38 yrs old and have been in the metal field a long time. Good metal hold no time on age anyways. Why compare this new band to FF. Me and the wife both made fun of the video when his solo had no sound. I hope I am wrong on this band, but if it like the video. then I am not impressed....Maybe Dino should quit comparing his new stuff to FF. Sounds like he can't move on to me...I respect what he did in the earlier FF days, but no band is one player. Almost any member can be replaced with exception of vocals. Dime is an exception to that rule.
Time to change the sound. IMO i though transgression was good. Any band that sounds like their previous. Everyone would piss and moan on it too.....

i dont mind his solos (roadrunners united - The Enemy), but his fingers are fat (lol), but seriously i love Fear Factory and Divine Heresy, why should there be a competition? There both good. And the similarities are almost non-existent other than Dino's style of playing, groove power chords at times, and heavy usage of double bass.

Red_Chord... for a 30 year old, your not the brightest out there are you? Infact, i know many more people more mature than you (and i'm only 19), and anyone else on here who has something against him just because he's overweight. Who really cares? (Aside from you, who seems to have the biggest obssession with it, Dino has his obssession with FF, and you seem to have yours with his weight)
Personally, i love Divine Heresy, its something new to listen to. I'm a big metalcore fan, so the vocals don't bother me, i thank god the music sounds nothing like fear factory, wouldn't have done them any justice whatever. What i don't understand is everyone bashing the vocalist, thats who they wanted, and if they didn't want him to do the vocals in that way, they wouldn't have. It annoys me when people expect to meet their own demands, as the old saying goes, you get what your given. I guess if you don't like it, you don't have to listen.

Fear Factory is my all time favorite. I like what I've heard from Divine Heresy & I'm going to pick up the album. Dino needs to stop talking about FF, I'm sure the interviewer brought it up, just say no comment!! Dino has a very unique sound, Replica is my favorite song because of that riff!! With saying that, Fear Factory is huge because of Burton C. Bell. It's his vocals that keep bringing me back to FF, you cannot replace that. JMO.

Tommy is the WORST vocalist the Divine Heresy could possibly have, it's pretty sad that he ruined the record.
