Avenged Sevenfold has posted the full track of "Critical Acclaim" on their MySpace page. "Critical Acclaim" is the first track to be previewed in full off the band's upcoming album.

Avenged Sevenfold's M. Shadows had the following to say about the track being posted online:

"As we got off the plane Saturday morning we noticed all the positive feedback from the Critical Acclaim clip. But, we didn't feel right not letting you hear the full song in its entirety. This album is the greatest piece of works we've made so we don't want to leave you hanging with a two minute clip so without further ado here it is in full on our MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/avengedsevenfold). Enjoy."

If that song is anything like the rest of the album these guys are in for tidal wave of disappointment. Also, ranting in a plain voice over music got old the first time it was done. And here we have two full verses of it. Maybe they thought that since Mustaine just did it, it was cool (It wasn't, Dave). For some real good comedy, though, on their MySpace page there is a mini-chat room with all sorts of fan-boys raving about the new song.

a7xfan 4 life, they have had almost a decade to iron out the kinks if that is what you call them. a couple of talented guitarists in this band, but they have always been too caught up in their own hype. from warped tour super stars to god awful major label crap these dudes will always suck because their music comes not from the heart, but from their how much they want to pad their bank account. everyone wants to make money, but in the music biz that cannot be your driving force or you will fail and they have. they are the only band on the planet I can say with all honesty that I hate....sorry

So Avenged Sevenfold is only in the biz to make money....? Wow, I never realized this!!! Because, with a little thought one might realize that if a band is out only to make money....they would have a record packed FULL of radio friendly content. Last time i checked A7X has had 3........THREE songs actually regularly played on the radio. Lets face it, a7x is NOT a radio friendly band out to only make money. They have 10 min. songs, they don't release a million different singles, they dont make a million different music videos. They play small clubs, they feature fans in videos, they do sign autographs, they take the time to make a DVD that is not just bullsh** live content with a couple videos. Avenged Sevenfold is playing music because it is what they love to to. You dont have to like it, an im sure they really couldnt give a damn if you do!! Critical Acclaim is just another step down the road of A7X and if you don't like it MOVE ON!!
By the way, if you wanna see artists who only want to make money try listening to hip-hop/rap. That is what music sounds like when you are out only to make money.

3 singles is more than most metal bands. Not all of their songs are 10 minutes, in fact on average their songs are mostly 5 - 6 minutes. Even more so, name one song that is over 10 minutes long. They don't have any song over 10 minutes.

Also, they release 4 music videos from their last cd. Of which, only one featured fans in their videos.

A lot of bands sign autographs, that's how you build a fan base.

To post 10 (33hybrid): f***in Poser. Virtually everyone who comments on this site regularly could name over 50 bands that make A7X look like Britney Spears in terms of heaviness (not to say that the singer does'nt look like her already). Metalcore included makes the list go higher.
Music too loud? Goddamnit you're ignorant child. Start somewhere around Lamb of God so that it's not to harsh for you, and then work your way up from there. OK?

We all have personal opinions yes, but god do you have to make it seem like the music you listen to is sooo much better. We allt hink that our FAVE bands rock more than other bands. And we all have sh** things to say about them, but common if someone said Guns N roses is sh** compared to nirvana. A nirvana fan would go hey thats freakin true. and a gnr fan would give them a slap to the f***ing face.

So really in all honesty it's a lose-lose situation for everyone involved

I happened to stumble across this forum and decided to write (although you people have no time on your hands). Good music is good music, whether it's hardcore sh**, or something in between. Personally I like both, including A7X. It should be understood that this is a "metal" forum and website, and a7x really isn't metal. They have great talent and have a lot of respect for their fans. I've been to numerous metal shows where the bands could give a f*** if you were there or not. So for all you little girls who sit here and bicker on whether your fav band is better than the next, I say grow the f**k up, listen to the music that gets you f**kin pumped and get a life.

Im a hardcore Avenged fan but honestly, this song is disappointing. I expect so much more from these guys and this is what they give us? I sincerely hope the whole album isn't like this because they are so talented. Their old stuff is classic in my eyes, they're not right up there with bands like G n' R, Pantera and Metallica but before you criticise just remember that all these bands have shown approval of Avenged Sevenfold and their music. A7X f*** YEAH!

As far as bands of the 00's went, I suppose in the past I stated A7X as "subpar at best". What I at least had respect for them was that they really did seem to be in it out of just love for music. Then M Shadows started whining about how the genre change wasn't due to his sugary, months after everyone had stopped caring. Strike one.
Then they release this piece of crap. The keyboard is almost funny, and the lyrics are absolute sh**. They're trying to damn hard to make something "cool and amazing". It better not be a single is all I can say. Strike two.
If the rest of the album is like this I'm not wasting my time with this band anymore.
