Veteran San Francisco Bay Area metallers EXODUS played two brand new songs — "Bedlam 123" and "Funeral Hymn" — during their appearance last night (Wednesday, August 8) at the Showcase Theater in Corona, California. Watch video footage of both tracks below.
EXODUS has completed work on its new album, tentatively due before the end of the year via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Sharkbite Studios in Oakland, California with producer Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY).
In a brand new interview with MetroActive.com, EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt stated about the group's new CD, "When you hear the new one, you'll realize that very few bands are able to put out back-to-back to back releases with the fire and intensity of ours. The new album is a genre-defining moment for us and thrash in general, and we as a band feel more inspired and motivated than any time before."
EXODUS will embark on a North American headlining tour in January/February. Support on the trek will come from GOATWHORE, ARSIS and WARBRINGER. Tickets go on sale today (Thursday, August 9) exclusively through EnterTheVault.com until September 4 at which point they will be available through all normal ticketing outlets. Tickets for the Atlanta (January 31) and San Francisco (February 24) shows will go on sale on August 12.
Holt recently released his first-ever instructional DVD, "A Lesson in Guitar Violence", through Zaentz. The disc, which contains never-before-seen live footage from 1985 at the Dynamo Club in Holland, can be ordered at The Exodus Store.
