THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER has commented on their upcoming release "NOCTURNAL":
“Hey troops, Trevor here from The Black Dahlia Murder. Just stopping by to tell you about our new album, Nocturnal, which is currently being mastered. From the songs, to the artwork, to the sound quality itself, we could not be more pleased with the results... We are all feeling like proud fathers over here. The album was recorded by Eric Rachel at Trax East, and mixed by Jason Seucof at Audiohammer... it sounds absolutely crushing. It should be just a couple of days before we post a new song on the myspace so you guys can have a taste of the carnage to come. In the mean time, we are gearing up for global destruction... ahem, our tour of the European Festival circuit, as well as our return to the UK. We are very excited to play at Wacken and are very honored to have the opportunity to play in front of so many metal heads. Not to mention our US tour in the fall in support of Cannibal Corpse... on which we will be debuting some new material. Come out and support extreme metal!!!!”

Death Metal are you f***ing kidding me, these guys are like crap mix metalcore more than death metal wanna talk about death metal go listen to some Bolt Thrower, Death, or Carcass, Saying Black Dahlia Murder even falls under the name of Death Metal is an insult.

i got unhallowed and miasma they are decent efforts, they are not my death metal favorite band, but they aren't gay or metalcore at all i fact they sound nothing like metalcore at all. All that Remains Killswitch Engage, Diecast, Blood Has Been Shed, Atreyu at metalcore
I look forward to Noctural's release

I've always wondered why people call The Black Dahlia Murder metalcore. They are far from it. Only 4 songs in their history have breakdowns, 2 of which have been intros and 1 was a cover. TBDM is melodic death metal in the vein of an Americanized At the Gates.

well im sure your just listening to new found glory u f**cking homo....the black dahlia is the best band out there,i got there name on my arm.....if you just listend to the lyrics you would sh*t yourself..to all those who hate the black dahlia go back to your pu*sy music....i mean just listen to there drummers there perfect.....what ever

Wait, this band is whipping a dead horse. . .then what is Slayer doing? That horse hasn't been exactly alive since the early nineties.
Yeah the Black Dahlia Murder does a lot of the melodic death metal stuff At the Gates left behind, but they combine a lot more other genres of metal. I just don't see the metalcore connection. Their first EP, yeah, I'll give you that it wasn't the thrash/melodic death they play now, but really, it wasn't metalcore in the way Lamb of God is or Bury Your Dead is.
I think their bad rap comes from they're one of the true metal bands that scene kids like because they always tour with scene bands.

Lamb Of God isn't metalcore you stupid f***, TBDM is way more metalcore than LOG, thats stupid to say such a thing. TBDM really is just some generic metiocre At The Gates rip off wannabe death metal band. They are not straight up death metal it's totally on the death side of metalcore, deathcore I guess. Really technical, complex stuff and I'll admit they have talent but still doesn't mean they're good. Better than Through The Eyes Of The Dead though.

Lamb of God is metalcore. I didn't say they were bad but damn, they are metalcore. Their style of play is New Wave of American Heavy Metal. . .which is metalcore.
Isn't it a contradiction to call them technical and talented but also a mediocre rip off of another band? But I still don't see where they come a$$ as a Metalcore act anymore. Melodic Death metal though, yeah I'd understand that.

"Lamb Of God rules, f*** TBDM"
Yeah says the log fan. Lamb of god sold out like the little vagina's they are. Their new cd is f**king horrible! Randy is a f**king pu$$y!! Oh now he sings? LMFAO!! The black dahlia murder is melodic death metal. They are influanced, thats the key word, INFLUENCED, NOT rip off cause that doesn't make since. If you're a guitar player and you listen to a riff that you really like then you grab your guitar, jam out and it sounds like the riff you just listen to, thats not ripping it off you've be influenced!! Bands play what they feel not cause its cool or cause someone else has done it. If anyone hear has been in a band then you know what I'm talking about. Music comes from the soul, if you listen to at the gates, you're gonna naturally play similar riffs to theres. Plan and simple. Its when you force yourself to play a certain genre of music is when you're ripping off.

i have to agree with focus shift on the bad rap comment. but all and all, the black dahlia murder really is just a continuation of what at the gates started. cynic, you pretty much stated that they were just copying at the gates, well isnt that every melodic death metal band? thats like saying (insert death metal band name here) is just copying death/morbid angel/suffocation, simply because they defined there genre.

This band is terrible. Saw them a while ago. The singer wore gayass skin tight clothes and all of their songs sounded exactly the same.
