A new MP3 of the track "Within Destruction" from As I Lay Dying's upcoming album "An Ocean Between Us" has been made available online on Metal Blade's MySpace and official site, As I lay Dying's MySpace or official site.

As I lay Dying's "An Ocean Between Us" is set to hit stores in North America on August 21, 2007.

As previously reported, the cover art can be viewed online here and the final "An Ocean Between Us" track listing is as follows:

i can understand why people would think this song was bad because its a little different from their old stuff. i think they chose this as their first single from the album because it would get people that are more into trash and heavier stuff into them and it would sell their cd better. even though its different i really like it. the breakdown and the tapping are really good and catchy. they told the fans to come into this album with an open mind because they are opening up new and some old doors but overall i think this cd is gonna be amazing.

No offense to their bassist, but I'm sort of glad that he is gone. With Shadows, I thought they attempted too many sing-song chorus' and maybe I attribute that to him. It was way different than their first record which was way more in your face. With that said, I do like the direction that they are going. I think it will be a good album, its a good song, not a great song, but it jams.
