Several WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) superstars will be making appearances on this year's Ozzfest tour. You can view the current appearance schedule here.

WWE is one of the sponsors of the 2007 Ozzfest, which is the first time the event will be held as a free show.

Earlier in the month, tickets for all 24 shows were distributed to a frenzy of music fans. More than 428,000 tickets in all were given away through LiveNation.com, marking the largest number of free tickets distributed in the United States in the history of the concert business. In a staged release and via various sponsor sites, including Monster Energy, Jägermeister, FYE, Pilgrim Films, Hustler Lingerie and WWE, LiveNation.com enabled fans to enter exclusive codes to obtain tickets beginning Friday, June 8. More than 228,000 tickets were distributed on June 12 alone, with the last ticket given away just after midnight. The tickets were completely free without surcharges of any kind.

I ended up get 4 Ozzfest tickets. The first 2 I got on the 8th and it took about an hour and a half. Then on the 12th it took me 8 freakin hours for really sh**ty seats. I would have rather paid for the tickets to get the seats that I wanted.

Cool. RIP Chris Benoit. No matter what happened last weekend, he will always be one of the best.

This might be unrelated to metal, but it's still something I gotta say:

I can't help but get angered that the media is jumping to so many conclusions about the death of Chris Benoit. Why aren't they mentioning the possibility that Benoit's wife killed their son, and when Benoit found out, he killed her in a fit of rage. After that, he may have been unable to cope with what had just happened so he killed himself.

I don't know, I guess I just see that explination as the only way I can keep the respect I have for Benoit. Or had.

Hmmm, very awesome. Another reason Ozzfest should be great this year. I'm looking forward to it.

From what I read, the wife was killed well before the boy. That part is pretty simple science - only bad reporting could screw it up.

Yeah, but with the Benoit thing, it turns out that his wife's death was reported on wikipedia like 14 hours before the bodies were found, so its a possible triple murder.

Regardless, the media are twisting things around horribly right now. I was so glad to get the moderator job on here when I did because it gave me the opportunity to take my mind off of it and concentrate on something else. Hence why I posted so much news the other day. I will miss Chris Benoit so much. The best technical wrestler in the history of wrestling... I'll drink to that!
